    Two Pass Comfort
I got a nice shave today. I decided to limit myself to two passes and some touch up to allow my tenderness to heal. The Vorschlaghammer smoothly reduced my stubble, cushioned by Pumpkin 3.14. I am wondering about this soap. It performs and smells great, but I got some tingling today. Enough to make me switch to Lavanille for my second pass. I don't know if something in the soap bothers me so I'll use it again when my face feels better to be sure.

    Prep: cool water face wash
    Soap: Synergy Pumpkin 3.14 - B&M Lavanille
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Merkur Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum

Back to the coldest family of shaving soaps on this planet and the Glacial Lemon Chill gave me rich, slick lather which hit me with a freezing sensation that was so strong, I can still feel it. This soap also has a delightful, refreshing lemony scent. Its skincare is also perfect and the moisturizing and soothing is brilliant. The Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel convinced me that no other aftershave I've tried can match it for menthol power - not even the Rubby Dubby Doo. My Sharp blade is still performing very well - its fifth day, and I had no trouble getting a great BBS shave. Let's hope it'll continue for the weekend. ;) :D

Have a great weekend, folks and a Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadian members! :)

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Tech
    Blade: Treet Platinum (day 4)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Cream: Ingrams
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Dove Men hydrate+

I'm not going to call it a bad shave but it was disappointing.

Either I didn't have enough SC or too much water, and I was not able to save the lather. After working the lather longer than normal, it looked like it was going to work. Unfortunately the extra effort only seemed to imparted a magical disappearing ability to the lather, because that was it did as soon as it hit my face. As impressive of an ability as that is, it is not very helpful for a SC. I did manage to get a full WTG pass in but only targeted the heavy stubble areas of my face for the XTG pass.

At the very least today's shave is a reminder that it is easier to add water to a week lather then remove the water...

Busy weekend, won't be able to post for a few days. This morning's and tomorrow's shaves will be the same:

    Prep: Shower
    Lather: IanS soaps (etsy) lavender
    Brush: Vie-Long 13061M horsehair
    Razor: Weber PH bulldog handle
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword (4)
    Post: Ogallala Bay Rum

Today was 3 passes with a touch-up on my chin. The only change I might make for tomorrow is to put my Weber handle on my New SC head. Miss the efficiency of the open comb for 2 pass shaves.

Prep: Hot shower. Neutrogena face wash. Noxzema.

    Brush: Omega 266.

    Lather: Arko.

    Razor: Merkur 34C.

    Blade: Personna Stainless (Kroger branded).

Post: Razorock alum block; Cold water; Witch Hazel.

After: Murray & Lanman Florida Water.

Two-pass BBS with a couple of touch-ups, no blood at all. Learned my lesson last time with the Merkur 34C, which likes to take its time, and tends to bite just a little if I get careless or overconfident. The back of my head is always a tricky spot so I took it slowly and let the weight of the razor do most of the work. Once again, the Merkur felt great... It also has a bit of audible feedback so I can hear the cutting happening, which I like, and the sound from the Merkur seems more substantial than, say, the Aristocrat makes. The Aristocrat actually sounds kind of tinny, similar to the Chinese pot metal razors I've tried. Makes me wonder what's under the Aristocrat's gold plating.

We booked a trip last night for spring break to our family condo in Pompano Beach, so by way of a little personal celebration, I went with Florida Water for the aftershave. And in fact I ordered a second bottle off the stuff today. I have a feeling with winter quickly approaching (had our first frost yesterday) that I am going to need a constant reminder that I'm headed someplace warm in the spring. Especially if it is as bitter cold and snowy as it was here in Michigan last winter. (It may feel even colder for me this year, since it is the first winter for me with a shaved head. Brrr.)

    Have a great Friday!

    Prep: glycerin soap
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
    Razors: Gillette old open comb
    Blade: Ladas

    Witch Hazel: Generic unscented

I had another fine shave with the MDC sample I received. This may be the best soap I have ever used. I will have to buy some MDC. Of course, this may be after I win the Lottery. ;)

This was a very nice 3 pass BBS to start the day.

    SOTD - Happy Friday

    Pre - CWS

    Cream - Proraso Green

    Brush - WD Silvertip

    Razor - RRKS

    Blade - Rapira PL

AS - Old school Proraso Green

Two pass shave today with touch ups. No irritation. No nicks or weepers. I'm starting to think it is impossible to nick yourself with this razor (hopefully I don't jinx myself). A bit of a frustrating shave due to my lather being not quite where I wanted it.
