Well, last night was a total cluster-fluster...
7th grade iPad rollout was a roaring... Failure.
Half the email accounts weren't working, iTunes wouldn't connect to apple servers, and more than half of parents that never read the instructions sent home weeks ago, weren't prepared with twitter information or knowledge (not a big shock, judging by their kids and knowing the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree).
So, a bit of egg on the tech department's face, but pretty much all of it was out of our control. But that doesn't always mean the parents understand that..... Bgggddaaa

However, there is a bright spot... Been playing with my new (albeit 3 year old, but new in box) DSLR canon t3 :D

I saw the eclipse yesterday on my way in to work. It was fascinating to look at. I didn't expect to get such a great view of it. Too bad I didn't think to get my good camera out and take a photo, but I had to beat traffic... which was heavy.
Last night sitting on the front porch with our new rockers, the moon rise was also orange-looking. It was a huge harvest moon.
    This morning... back to normal.

Some of our people here at work aren't too bright. One of them brought this in as a potential exhibit. [IMG]

it would be a prime candidate for a new hat band.
I ain't that particular kind of Christian.
it woulda've been a dead snake for sure.

Now I see what appears to be the rattle. Hmmm.. This may not have been the brightest idea.

Oh, yeah, it's a western diamondback. It has only shed once. I am not scared of snakes but one doesn't bring them into an office either.

On another note, I forgot the new cover sheet for the TPS report this morning.

My dad's go-to name for snakes is Copper-headed Rattle Moccasin

Well, I suppose that's way better than the go-to name that most young girls use. I'm not quite sure how to translate it, but to the human ear it sounds something like an attempt to split eardrums and shatter glass all wrapped into one.

We need pics! Eric Clapton, and Peter Frampton are my favorite guitar players. Looks like a steal.

Oddly enough I hit up the store this afternoon just to play around. Didn't like the feel of the Ovation which is unfortunate for me - however a couple of Fenders did work out to me comfortable to play so I may get one of those down the line. I did instantly fall in love with an American Strat though - so next week its time to extend my credit and get a strat and a new amp! LOL

when a was a teenager, my brother and myself both took guitar lessons. I played for a while, finally giving it up. he stuck with it, and now plays in a band.
anyway, when I played,I had an epiphone, among five our six others. it was strung pretty low, seemed like everything was easier to play.
my brother liked it,I ended up giving to him.
years later,I dropped in to a benefit her was performing at. he was still using that old epipbone. said it was his favorite.
enough rambling, epiphone was pretty nice to me.
