Well, here in The Land Down Under, what you can get for less than $10 is ............ tap water or a nearby muddy puddle (Doesn't happen all that often). I just did a VERY quick web search on a DISCOUNT site and the cheapest aftershave I saw was $16 and that probably smells like the inside of a "bush pig".
My updated list... Dollar General Brut knockoff any vintage Avon a/s (always well under $10, often under $1) Dickinson's witch hazel I will add Superior 70 when/if my local Walgreens gets it in.
Clubman Veg Old Spice (current) Floid Blue would usurp at the no. 2 position, but since the only way to buy it is by the nearly half liter, the whole "$10" limit is to me, a gray area...
Afta Green Old Spice Kiss My Face Also, many choices of natural, organic, handmade aftershaves can be found on Etsy.com. I've tried a couple and they are incredible. Also, found some vintage Avon Wind Jammer for <$10 and absolutely love the smell, wife does too.
Last night, my son texted my wife. I asked why he did that and she said that it was so he could find out what I wanted for my birthday and Christmas (both rapidly approaching). I'm so glad I was there to tell her "Honey, text him back and tell him to check my amazon.com 'shaving wish list' and he can pick anything from that list". She said "Perfect!" I'm smiling... and adding to my wish list on amazon.com this morning too... LOLarty:
As someone dating a college girl, I can attest, they don't like Old Spice or Clubman either. My GF tolerates Old Spice and Aqua Velva; it seems like Brut is her favorite, but she would probably like it if I wore more Axe. The important part is to wear something you like....You're the one that has to smell you all day...
SWMBO absolutely loves Clubman Special Reserve. She's actually used it a time or two. I did have to tell her to get her own razor though. Her beard took all of the plating off of my super speed.
1. Florida Water 2. Clubman Pinaud 3. Brut -- though now I may order some British Sterling off eBay for old time's sake. I have warmed up to the Clubman Pinaud. SWMBO still is not a huge fan, says it smells too old for me and that she likes just the "soap and water" smell... But I like it precisely because it reminds me, after the dry-down, of my grandfather. And the fact that I can find it anywhere is a big plus. Florida Water takes the prize for me, though, in this price range. There's a subtle spice to it that doesn't beat you over the head like bay rums seem to. And it offers up a nice bit of post-shave burn. Brut makes my list, too, even though it reminds me of high school. But the alternatives I've found under $10 aren't to my liking. I'd actually prefer this list to be a top two, because Brut is a pretty distant third.
I can't find an aftershave for under 10dollars =/ Edit: I know about 2, but I don't own them. HEGA (Swedish balm) and maybe AXE(I don't know if I like axe, they remind me of "high school")
