I have a low end epi ... they're very easy to play, imho. great for beginners for sure. But, I love the tone of the Ovations.

mine was starburst, red to translucent yellow, it had gold plated pickups, and mother of pearl inlays on the fretboard.
I got it used, from the teacher. never seemed low end, maybe it was.
played nice anyway.

 

They come in all ranges. Mine is the ~$100 acoustic model. Jet black.

A nice slow Sunday.

 

Making turkey for my Thanksgiving Sunday dinner; ever since the wifes great flaming bird of 2013 she hasn't been allowed to use the oven.

 

We are having a pub crawl next Saturday in Antwerp (Belgium). We, that is: SWMBO, her niece (who lives in Antwerp so we can crash in her place), our son and daughter and two of my son's best friends. We are combining the pub crawl with SWMBO's Birthday, though she isn't aware of that.

I did my studies in Antwerp, so I still know some pubs we are obliged to visit, such as the Pelgrom (a pub situated in medieval cellars) and The Eleventh Commandment (thou shalt enjoy yourselves - a pub next to the cathedral filled with statues of about every Saint you can think of). Today I have been checking out if they all still exist. Alas, not all of them. Even our local hangout of my studying days seems to have closed.

But still we're going to have some good ol' Belgian beers!

If ever Liefmans Goudenband crosses your path: don't hesitate! Drink it! It's a rich, brown ale. My all time favourite. Okay, it ain't brewed by monks. But that's the only downside.

 

stuck in business meetings yesterday, today, and tomorrow. or, as it is rightly called, "forced fun and team building." Just shoot me.

 

The wife is out of town until tomorrow, Haven't been sleeping well, my two biggest responsibilities are, feed the cats and dog, let the dog out in the morning. I'm glad she has a lot of faith in me.

 

We wouldn't need team building if we got rid of the incompetent people. Just an idea....

 

Then the unemployment rate would skyrocket and ruin the economy.

 

Poor kid does heat help?

 

No man should suffer to the likes of that...go eat a brownie chase it with a coke then a bag of chips.
