Hooray, My Vie Long Horse hair brush turned up and is now "bonding" with it's "Brothers of the Shave", The Boar and the Badger. I am starting to be happier with my growing collection when I put these next to my recently acquired, Tabac (Soon to have a hand turned timber lid) and the "Mama Bears Aged Spice" which both were brought in Australia. And the HG Scuttle that my wife bought for me, completes the Regular shave gear apart, obviously, for my selection of razors which are in rotation. My wife also bought me a "Scottish Fine Soaps" soft polished leather "Dopp kit" in which I keep the Edwin Jagger Travel kit (Stainless Badger tube brush and Mach 3 razor) that my Son bought me for my birthday earlier in the year. All i need now is some Artisan TSD soap/cream and I can rest easy.

Went antique shipping with my parents. I found an Aristocrat Jr and Pre Patent gold Rocket. both in fine condition.
So this is what they mean by " an embarrassment of riches." On one hand, this is overwhelming. On the other, it should satisfy the RAD for a while and some of this is what I've been waiting for in order to do a PIF. This is NOT counting the "Nationwide Box Tour" box that ALSO arrived today. Yikes. For those of you playing at home, that's 160 blades, 2 DE's, 2 straights, 9 types of soap (granted, 6 are samples), 3 creams, four (!) brushes, two bowls and one aftershave. And one very full medicine cabinet.
got my first adjustable last Friday in the wild. A 1971 Super 84 Adjustable! the infamous "Black Beauty"
How many times a day do you shave, @Shotwell ? I hope you get a chance to try out every one of your new acquisitions and know the joy they bring without nicks or cuts.
Sadly, only once a day. I'm going to be selling a couple of items and probably doing a PIF (or maybe two?) to share the wealth and give back.
Just arrived from Chris Evatt at Razorplate.com. He did a remarkable job rehabilitating this Super Speed and Razor Blade Box. I am very happy with his work. Again! Rhodium 1949 Super Speed - Pictures 1 and 2 Chris. Black Chrome Razor Blade Box - Pictures 3 and 4
Received a package of Stirling soaps from The Great Mystery PIF!! in today's mail. Can't wait to shave tomorrow Thanks again @ILove2Shave
Just a little bit different type of haul today. I went to a local antique store and found the massive three volume set that I have been searching for at a reasonable price. For those unfamiliar with the writer here is more ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelby_Foote
