I got samples of Lavender, Barbershop, and Mahogany. They are all top performers. I love the scents of the lavender and barbershop, but I'm still undecided about the mahogany. All in all, I'm very happy, especially considering the price.

I found out that they recently brought back Tabacco and Black Amber Vanille. I pulled the trigger and of course jumped on it and ordered. I added Mahogany and the Black Amber Vanille. I will keep you guys posted when they arrive, and I plan on using the container transfer idea. I havent had any problems with my first tin, but better safe than sorry.

So my tins of Mahogany & Black Amber Vanille came in today and sadly I don't care for the scents. I did one test lather to see if it would change my mind, but once on my face, I picked up a sadalwood type scent from the Mahogany. The scent is indeed warm and a bit complex...but that particular note is a deal breaker for me. I ended up using the black amber vanille for my shave tonight because I found it to be the better of the 2 scents. Overall the lather is still top notch and a solid performer. I just wasn't blown away by the scent. Its nice and I pick up the vanilla, but I also get an almost chocolate or cocoa type scent. Its unique. The trade search begins, and sadly they will hopefully find new homes.

Thanks for the scent reviews, JR. I was wondering if the Mahogany had a strong patchouli note, looks like that is not the case.

I used the Vetiver last night, and it's a great soap! The vetiver scent is much more mild than, say- Stirling Port Au Prince; but it's very nice. If anything, I wish the scent was a little stronger (being subjective, I know). But other than that, I have nothing truly negative to say about this soap. At $5.99/puck, get it while you can- before they raise the price!

Where are you getting the soap for $9. Their website says $14.99?

I got the 4 scents I ordered today. great service and a good price. They smelled so good I decided to make a test lather. Holy moly this stuff is easy to lather and slick as a gut. I am excited to shave in the morning

Sounds like you have a nice haul. I'm personally not a fan of floral scents, but how did you like the rose and lavender scents? You dont hear too much about those on the forums. Im glad you liked the performance as well as that hard-to-beat price.

    as for scents
as for scents, the Fourgere is my fav. The barbershop does not seem to be very strong. The Rose and lavender are perfect and I like them both. Have not shaved with them yet, just made a test lather with the Fourgere. I squeezed some lather in my hand to feel the slickness and had trouble getting it cleaned off, then my hand smelled of the scent for hours. I really like them so far but a shave in the am will be the kicker. I bet it is going to be very slick stuff

I used the Fourgere today. Now I am a died in the wool ubelather fan but today I just used the soap and it was extremely slick and as good as any ube. It does require water several times in a 4-5 pass shave but that's ok. It is a great value

I passed my rustic barbershop onto my newly converted younger brother. I was lucky enough to purchase a soap trio that included some WSP rustic Mahoghany. I think I sold mine a bit too early, and had a bit of seller remorse. But now it's back in my soap drawer and not going anywhere. I'm glad I got it back.

All I have to do is get my brother to use a De and I am set. He already uses a brush and soap. Maybe after he realizes I use one on my head he will be fine with the idea.

I did a trade for the Mahogany & Black Amber Vanille and love them! Wonderful scents; great lather; comfortable shaves. The Mahogany is one of the soaps I pop the top off and take a whiff of the scent when I enter the Den. One of my favorites. Thanks JR for the trade.:thanks:

No problem Ed..Im glad you like them.

I just purchased Mahoghany again from another member, because I was afraid that I didnt give it a fair shake. Now its back in the soap drawer...lol.

    It's a win-win!!

Popped for the Marrakesh last week. The price jumped from $5.99 to $7.99 overnight. Still a great value for a great soap. I tend to lean towards spice scents so the dominance of clove worked for me.
