Testers black paint (from hobby store) and swipe is what I did to restore the numbers. Glad you like your slim!!!
Yep, works perfectly. Dab on the paint (color of your choice), let it sit a moment, then wipe it off with your thumb. Hardest part is cleanest your thumb.
That's why I use a paper towel, small piece of newspaper or q-tip when I repaint the letters on a brush with Testors paint.
My slim is one of my go-to razors. I tend to just leave it at the '8' setting as that works well for me.
The Slim is an very good razor indeed. IMHO, Gillette outdid themselves with this razor. Mine has always given first rate shaves.
I'm a long way from 8. I tried 3 last shave but tried 4 on my jaw line and it worked well. I will try 4 all over tonight.
I do 8 but nowadays its depends on my growth and the blades how msny uses on them. Thats the beauty about adjustables. Once you get it dial in always smooth shave.
For me a setting of 3 or 4 works best doing a 3 pass with last pass being ATG. I've tried setting it 5 but had irritating posts without better results. I also tried setting it at 7 without the ATG with good results. I have not been wet shaving long (July) I'm learning I like milder razors with the 3 pass method.
I love the Slim and now have a backup and may get still a third in case the world comes to an end. I just have to get an oil pen to touch up the numbers.
