  3. Folks know what i'll probably say. This is one reason a 200g jar of the stuff is supposed to last a year with daily use. (See Lou's post above mine)...

  5. Yes, MDC wins this one hands down. It is unbelievable stuff that goes and goes and goes. The first thing people say that have not used it is, that's too much dinero! Then when they get the big container they realize it aint so bad. When you use it 10 times and the jar is still full, you really understand what a great deal it really is. Oh, did I mention it is a heavy glass jar LOL. I guess it is obvious that I love the stuff

  6. Valobra was pretty potent as well, from what I recall in using a puck of it.
From June of this year: Valobra Fougére

  10. Me too.
  11. I emailed them and asked them how much shipping costs. I forgot to specify what I wanted to buy hahaha so I'm waiting for their second reply =)
  12. I am hoping Santa aka my mum will buy me a jar for Christmas. I better start dropping some hints.

  13. What doe MDC stand for? (I'm probably not the only one that doesn't know)

  14. It stands for Martin de Candre shaving soap. Considered by many to be the most expensive and best shaving soap you can buy. It is also good value for money. The claim is you can use this soap every day and it will last over a year

  16. I have never used them and know nothing about their prices or store policies. However, you can buy MDC here in the states directly. This store sells it.

  17. How would she else know where and what to buy for you for Christmas =)

I'll be saving some money. A little at a time. Then it might not feel like much

  19. Is the C&S any good?
  20. I've not had the opportunity to try it so I can't comment on it's price vs performance value.
C&S's price makes reviews of it even more scarce than for MdC....
One of the few C & S reviews I found speaks more of the container than the soap itself... ;)

"Wow...this is amazing..a real work of metal art...not at all what I thought..machined from solid stock... something you will treasure for a lifetime...a bit costly but each to their own. If you can appreciate functional art this is for you...lovely soap included...believe me this is the Ultimate soap dish for the serious collector and you just won,t want to put it down..heavy weight quality ...just never seen or held anything like it...highly recommended."
