New Improved- New Standard
Astra SP
Proraso Green Croap
Whipped Dog Silvertip brush
Pfaltzgraff bowl
Old Spice Classic AS
Don't know if you'd like a "review" of this razor, but I thought I'd pass on my impressions. First shave with this pretty razor I picked up at a local online estate auction. It was a mess, but it cleaned up nicely.

Initial thoughts were that it "performed" much like an Old Type, but milder. When the blade is loaded, the blade exposure is not large. With the way the head is designed there is pretty much only one angle to get the blade to your face with little room between "steep" and "shallow". I liked the larger handle than the ball-ends of my Old Type or my New. The razor felt more "controllable". Had a 3-day growth, which is probably not a good idea for a first shave. First pass (WTG) was uneventful. It seemed to behave like a new with the "scratchiness" of an Old Type. Did a second XTG pass and I was sure I was going to have LOTS of feedback from my aftershave. Finished with a 3rd ATG pass and then a little cleanup around my jaw line (like usual). One minor nick on my neck because the razor slipped in my hand. I splashed cold water on my face (thank God for menthol!) My face seemed to feel a bit irritated, or so I thought. Grabbed the AS and braced myself for a shock. Manned-up and splashed it on. To my amazement, no feedback, except for a bit on my neck.

CONCLUSION: This was a very close shave, not bad at all. It was a bit less comfortable than my NEW, but much more than my Old Type. This baby's a keeper!
UPDATE: End of the day. My face has felt wonderful all day. It's 9:00 PM and I'm still "faceturbating" like crazy! I like this razor!
