I remember my VDH Delux lasting about 3 months.

I THINK I LIKE THIS SHAVING THING!
BUT I HOPE THERE IS NO RAZOR STING!
SO I WILL TRY IT IN A BOAT.
OR I WILL TRY IT WITH A GOAT...
OR I WILL TRY IT IN THE RAIN.
OR IN THE DARK. OR ON A TRAIN.
OR IN A CAR. OR IN A TREE.
I HOPE IT'S GOOD, SO GOOD, YOU SEE!
SO I WILL TRY IT HERE AND TRY IT THERE.
SAY! I WILL TRY IT ANYWHERE!
SO I WILL TRY THIS SHAVING THING,
JUST HOPE THERE IS NO RAZOR STING!

Gonna line my razors up and use a random number generator to make my pick. The software is easy, I don't have much to choose from.

I've got a cake of Williams that's going in 25 years old now. Amazing how long it lasts if you don't use it.

I think I can do 30 different photos.

Gents the Seuss Rhymes have won me over. I was planning to test a couple of razors in the month of November, but Lord willing I will put that off until December.

    * You should choose one and only one razor, one type of blade, one soap/cream/lather, one brush, and one aftershave to use for the entire month of "NO-Vember."

My Choices for the Month of November

    Razor - Gillette Slim
Blade Make and Brand - Personna 74*
Soap - My Mentholated Vintage Williams
Brush - Rubberset 200-3 restored with H.I.S. Synthetic Knot
A/S - My Custom Slurry Mix of Witch Hazel with some Alum

I could easily go a month only using V.Williams. Some of the best stuff.

Wow! A month of Williams! I thought Halloween was scary. The good news is by the end of the month you will actually have lathered it for the first time. Good thing you picked a Synthetic knot.

Vintage Williams from 25+ years ago is far different than what is sold today. You see it every week on my Menthol Monday SOTD. As Randy said above it is some of the best stuff that is hard to come by these days.

Great idea but I just took the summer off from shaving so I'm enjoying the variety of my cabinet again. I love all my razors too much.

youngunn Where's my TSD aftershave balm???

    I am in for NOVember.

Now... I gotta spend today figuring out what kit to use. I know I'm going to use my new Supermax Tigers blades... Try to only use 2 to 3 this month. Will post how many shaves with one blade during SOTDs...

For razor, either the Merkur 34C HD, which being my first razor, WAS all I had to shave with for a few months. Or my SS Flare tip, one like it was my 2nd razor... The 34 'Crat is pretty sweet too... Or the '57 Fatboy....

Only have the one brush so that's easy.

Soap... Maybe Tabac. Or TOBS Sandalwood.... Or...

    GAH!!

I've 5 different pucks and it's been a year so far. But I face lather and don't go for lather-porn hah

That random thing is a good idea.

I'm actually thinking of letting my wife pick the kit. That would be fun for us both, make her feel like a part of my hobby.

I'm guessing not many people do the whole no shave November thing eh? I know I couldn't. Shaving is therapy.

I'm more about "try everything you own at least once in November".

I've asked the War Department to put my 1955 Flair Tip, my Omega 48 brush,
two tubs of Omega croap, and a 100 pack of Big Ben Stainless blades
in my casket when I die.
I'll consider doing the 1 thing for a month then...:p

That is very True. That is the very same razor I did the 30 day rule originally and the one that I did the DE Blade Challenge with. I pulled it out of its resting place (since I have more than one of these) to use it for another 30 days.

This is my planned shave for NOVember 1 and there after. I am expecting my first Schick Krona next week. I may stray slightly from the plan. Right now, I am thinking I may use the Krona for the second pass a few days. We shall see. December looks like Krona month.

How did you make the labels for the bottles and how is that Omega brush?

I get asked that about labels from time to time. Check this out: http://www.jrshaving.blogspot.com/p/label-making.html
The brush is pretty nice. I had been looking at it a long time. It is the biggest brush I have now. It lathers pretty easily and has no scritch (I'm glad). It is fun. That is why I chose it for NOVember. I face lather, but I may try some bowl lathering this month. I got it for $12.40 on Amazon with some birthday money. Great price IMHO.
