It's great to see that a few methodshavers are members here. Unfortunatly I find the Hydrolast forum very(allthough informativ) dead. Not many people there. I wish members like Mantic and Sandoval would frequent it more often. Since I am waiting for a package from Enchante containing my startup kit with Methodshaving I was curios if someone would like to post some pictures of their products. I would love to see some more of the labels and so on.:1respect Thanks.:drool
Guess I'll have to drag the camera up stairs and show y'all my current Method inventory I also wish that the RMWS forum would be more active and I am partially at fault for not contributing more to it. What is interesting to me is that there are a lot of Method shavers out there that we never hear from on the forums. I've met many in person and encouraged them to come out and share their experiences and suggestions. Guess a lot of guys just aren't in to the forum thing.
What did I write to make you confused? My order consisted of 1 Cube cut in 3 pieces, 1 tub of Shaving Paste, 1 bottle of Aromatic Tonic, 1 tub of Conditioner and 1 S100 brush. Please do. Looking forward to it. Please do. I'm looking forward to the pictures. I don't think it's a much that they aren't into the forum thing I just think that they take a look at the forum and think... "That place is dead so there is no point in going there". I just wish more experienced Methodshaves like yourself and Mantic would frequent it.
I guess it was the term "startup kit" which conjured up in my mind as sample-sized portions of all the stuff you listed (except the brush, obviously). If it was just the term you used for the full-sized purchase of all the items, then my mistake. I know Charles has had the idea of sample sizes or sampler kits brought up to him, but for whatever reason(s) he's satisfied with the current level of public exposure to Methodshaving, and doesn't offer any trial-sized or sample-sized products.
Were you able to take a couple of pictures? Nah, I was never really interested in samples and I think I understand why he doesn't want to do sample kits either. If someone is really interested they don't mind paying for it.
I asked Charles about the sample thing and he has some very valid reasons why he chooses not to do that. I won't go in to them as I am not authorized to speak on his behalf, but I will say there are some reasons that make sense from a business perspective. He will include samples of certain items when you place an order, all you have to do is ask.
Oh that I do know. He said he would include quite a lot of samples of different various products within the Hydrolast label. How are those pictures coming along?
I have to disagree with this statement. Are you saying Jason isn't really interested in trying this cause he isn't willing to shell out whatever the start-up costs? That makes no sense. You are confusing desire and something else.....can't think...need coffee.:ashamed001 "You don't really want to own a Lamborghini cause you aren't willing to pay for it."
I was getting a haircut at the barbershop yesterday, and I was watching my barber give himself a shave after. The way he was doing it seems to be just about like method shaving, except he doesn't use any "Cube", or paste, or anything like that. Just a hot towel, a brush, and Florena shaving cream. But he was also using a straight!
Understood, although logistics aside, it's pretty much the tried-and-true way of getting maximum exposure to whatever it is you're selling. Classic old-school Marketing stuff, etc.
Alright, dug up my stash for requested photo. I'm running low on inventory, need to stock up a bit :ashamed001
WOW WOW WOW I used my Method stuff today...I think the Moss scuttle dried the heck out of the lather.....it wasnt the most comfortable shave.
It's a mix, some of it is unscented. The white hand labeled tubs are prototype pastes I'm using right now, but I'm not allowed to talk about them
Isaac I recommend to stay away from using the bowl. Load the cube and lather in hand. The load the paste into the breach making sure it is not dry. Then go back to the cube for a few laps. Put the cube down and proceed to lather in your hand. I have found this to give me the best lather. You might even try to reload paste into the brush. Great lather...if you use the activator...Yikes man that stuff is great!!!!! Raf
