Yes. That would be what I was thinking. Perhaps with voting for the best representation of the vintage ad replication.
Maybe pick your favorite vintage ad and post a pic of it and your facsimile. Heh Need to find a cool gift now. Maybe combine stuff?
Love the idea...reproduce classic ad copy.....I think you are on to something....maybe a Shave Den Classic Ad Repo, Christmas Ad's maybe...with an award how 'bout it...members could donate stuff for the prizes....What do you think? BTW....you definately look younger in the photo without the beard....ha,ha....
Yep, no more private life, the cost of fame....but what can you do....if the camera loves you, the camera loves you....};^) But you really do look comfortable in those thermals.....they must be working...ha,ha....and I agree with Mike, it's 6:30 and you're already having that first cup of coffee....You must be like me....The only way that happens to me is when you catch me at 6:30am getting ready for bed....ha,ha...
Great Pics...You're right, she is a beauty....You guys look great together....BTW, you look like you could really 'rock' a fedora...Don't take that wrong, I dig Fedoras myself....I've used my Borsalino as a prop in a couple of my S.O.T.D photos....
One more from the recent Tahoe trip. We had a surprise visitor—the younger brother of my old college roommate. His brother, (to my left; right front in this photo) former military who served in both Gulf wars—and cancer-survivor, was a pleasant addition to our close-knit group. He also brought to the party two large boxes of honduran cigars ($$). I look at the geezers in this photo and can't believe we all met as teenagers…
The college in Alton/Godfrey? It's Lewis and Clark college, if that's the one you mean. That cool, small world we live in! I live about a block away from the bluff overlooking River Road. Love it here.
It's been a couple of years since I posted a photo here, so here is something more recent. This past winter, my wife Sue and I had a wonderful snow vacation in Alberta. Here we are bundled up in a dog sled near Lake Louise. It was fun, but cold and a bumpy ride.
