Nivea Men Sensitive Cream, w/a few drops of Cedarwood oil (so it didn't smell like I was shaving in a hospital)
    VDH Badger
    Merkur HDC w/Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainless (4)
Cold water, witch hazel, Skin MD, TSD AS Milk - Old Spice
    Face - 3 passes (W/X/A) Neck - 2 passes (W/X) Touch up

The Nivea lathered quite well, and the Cedarwood oil made me feel like I was shaving at a camp site. A manly smelling, Fall-morning shave.

However, even with cutting out the ATG pass on my neck, I still ended up with too much irritation. I must have wimpy neck skin.

This was a great shave, the espresso soap really wakes you up the morning. This was my first shave with the Maggard and I really enjoyed it, great razor and excellent deal. Also have Layrite original in my hair today ;)

I hadn't heard much about it either. I added it to my order when I bought the razor from Maggards just based on the scent alone. Thankfully it does lather quite well and is fairly slick. I can see me getting some good use out of this one.

Mike, it isn't as heftie as you would imagine it to be. It is actually one of my smaller knots even though it is is 28 X 50mm. It is extremely dense with great backbone and good scrub, but the knot doesn't feel as large as some of my 26mm ones and nowhere as large as my Chubby 2 knots and my M&F 3XL Heritage. I really like it, but I would prefer the loft to be at 53-54mm and the handle to be a longer length and different shape similar to my Oscar11 All-Ambers. However, it is one of the nicest handles to photography and that is why I keep it around! :)
