Just get the kilo block. Best soap ever. Wish I didn't have around 5 years' worth of other soaps to get through!
Technically, Yes, there is a difference. The Kilo is creamier and slicker than the tub. But, this is a very slight difference that probably would not be noticed if you did not know there was any difference. Realisticaly, No difference.
You mean there is a creamier and slicker version then i have!!! But where am i going to put a kilo of this stuff
Cella has given me the best shaves I've had so far. So I must disagree with that statement . To me if loaded right the lather is thick, slick in texture and has very protective properties . It has a better lather I think than Proraso cream and I really like Proraso cream ,I have never tried the soap . The Cella's scent is subtle but very pleasing to me .
At the rate I shave and with all the soap I have, it would last me a loooooooong time if Im not sharing it with someone (2-3people)
That's smart, I like to recycle containers too. I have a soap in a old nivea body lotion container =) good for the environment too
I used to think its the best its still pretty darn good, this is possibly silly but it lathers too good and I don't get as close shave that I would like to.
Out of all the soaps and creams, its still one I reach towards most often. It's definitely not only because of the price, because RazoRock soaps are just as cheap in many cases - I just love Cella that much!
I tend to agree. I don't see myself ever being without Cella on my shelf. Things change but for right now my top three soaps are, in no particular order; - Cella, - 3P, and - Stirling Lemongrass & Cajeput
I didn't like cella at first. I found it to be a little airy and not very slick. Then I started loading more in my brush and having a little extra water in the brush. Works great now.
Most of the times when we don't get a good lather it's due to operators fault =P but every now and then there is a soap that is close to or impossible to lather. But then it turns out someone else are getting the best lather out of the same type of soap. Sometimes it's the manufacturers fault. What I learned in the beginning is to be stubborn with soaps
While it is true there is some operator error involved when individuals, especially newcomers to wet-shaving, have difficulty lathering certain soaps. Yet there are soaps that seem to present challenges to enough users that threads are constantly appearing on 'how to use brand X' soap?' There are even 'how-to' videos put out by users (and some makers, such as Stirling) explaining the best method of getting good, consistent lather. I've seen vids for Williams, numerous ones for Mitchell's Wool Fat, Stirling, VDH, Tabac and others. Soaps that I have to struggle with lathering don't last in the rotation very long.
