Revisor 13/16 - a recent ebay purchase that I have now used 4 times. I see a spot on the edge that disturbs me but it has never failed to shave well. I will put it on the stones this weekend to see if I can correct the spot. See the photo, it shows up & almost looks like it slid off the end of the stone at some point?

Soap - Razorock XXX with some Coates crème & a little glycerin- an absolutely outstanding lather

Newly-honed & first-time shave with this GRS 'Craftsmen'. A very sweet razor with a slightly rounded square point.

Looks like someone may have muted the point? I have a couple that I did that to so as to help me on my neck area without slitting my throat lol. Every time I see one of these Craftsmans I think sears lol. Did sears ever handle a razor?

Several makers, such as GRS & ERN did indeed make the Craftsman-brand razor for Sears-Roebuck.
This one is made by ERN....

For this evening's planned shave; thoroughly stropped and clipping hanging hairs with a whisper. Now I just gotta focus on that avoiding that pointy tip!

Speaking of pointy tipped razors and potential blood-letting: There is a 71+ page thread on SRP called 'Cut of the Day'—the purpose of which totally eludes me!
I remember, before I even started SR shaving, rolling through a few wound-filled pages and thought to myself, "Hmmm, maybe I better stick with DE razors."
Maybe those who post the nasty, bloody gashes wear them as badges of honor or something (¿Quién es el más macho de todos?")
After seeing page after page of gouges, slices, and dripping scarlet rivulets, I'm inclined to believe that type of thread would discourage those interested in SRs, not encourage.
I hope no one gets the idea to start a TSD thread of a similar nature. :scared007:

First time out with Shannon's Shaving Soap. I really liked the scent and by the looks of things (or feel) another first rate artisan soap maker. Nice shave this morning. Have a good one.

Another first shave with an "old but new to me" blade this morning - a big ol' George Savage & Sons that's got a bit more of a concave grind than my other Savage, probably closer to a quarter hollow. Doesn't have the stub-tail of the other one either. Back with the Cella again this morning too. An excellent shave all around.

Wade & Butcher India Steel 13/16. Nothing fancy about it but I seem to get an very nice shave whenever I use it. The new RazoRock P.160 is great stuff as well. Have a good Friday folks.
