    Prep: glycerin soap
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep

    Razor: Gem Damaskeen
    Blade: GEM STAINLESS PTFE
Lather: Provence Sante w/ TOBS Lavender

I really like the scent of TOBS Lavender. For me, it is the nicest Lavender scent out there and it plays well with others. 3 passes for an outstanding shave.

I have a little google docs spreadsheet I started in June to enter the stuff in. Not too OCD, but I do enjoy analyzing what I use over time. I tried blogging about what I was using but how boring is that? "I shaved today, again." I'm just not that interesting or enthusiastic. Others are. But I like keeping track.

What makes it a little easier is that I am trying to mainly start with a soap and stick with it until it is gone. I can learn exactly how that soap or cream works for my face. Hopefully, over time, I can decide what I might want to purchase again, but that is at least 2 years way with my current stockpile.

Shave of the Day for Saturday:

    Razor: 1954 40’s Style SS
    Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium
    Pre-shave: TSD Preshave Balm
    Brush: L’Occitane Synthetic
    Lather: Godrey Shaving Cream
    Post-Shave: Crystal Alum Stick
    Finish: Florida Water

First time to try Godrey Shaving Cream. I usually am not a fan of tubed cream, but this one lathered beautifully and had a nice aroma. I got tons of lather. The lather's staying power or cushion isn't as good as some soap pucks I've tried, but I think this one will be my travel shaving cream. Much easier than lugging a puck around in my limited space shaving kit bag.
Having a good weekend so far...

Okay, I have decided to get in on this action... Shave of the day for Nov.8; the old schooler! As much vintage gear in one go as possible...

prep- hot shower using vintage castile soap, then cold water face wash using Kiehl Face Fuel
Pre-Shave - home made oil mix; 3:1 macadamia oil / castor oil, clove eo, menthol (in elegant vintage clown bottle)
    Water- tap, cold
    Razor - Valet autostrop
Blade- Valet vintage, fresh from envelope, but still stropped it
    Brush- vintage Ever-Ready 250b, unrestored
Soap - House of Croydon, vintage
Aftershave - Avon bay rum, vintage
    Lotion- Every Man Jack

My first time with a non-injector SE. Felt weird. Almost felt as if I was doing it wrong the whole time... nice close shave, no irritation, no boo boos. So I guess it was working. Fun, but won't be my daily driver anytime soon.
