Yes, sir. It is a different Amber handle. I have quite a few from Steve, so if you look closely at my set-up list, you will see a different name or number to all of my Amber handles! :)

    Gillette Super Speed '47
    Astra SP
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream face-lathered very easily with my Omega Pro 98 Boar Brush. Two passes with my '47 Gillette Super Speed and Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. The Astra I was using began to tug during the first pass, and I decided to change it out for a new Astra. I had gotten eight and a half shaves out of it. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thank you, ObiDon! I also like using heavy head balanced razors. They're easy to handle. It'll take time to get used to Feather.

    SUNDAY
    Evening Shave for Tomorrow
A repeat, razor-wise, of my last shave— "Böker Redux"—but with a slightly more challenging soap than the MdC.
I love the 'sage' scent of the Pré de Provence, but getting a good lather established takes some work. Getting the right water-balance is essential. Once achieved, you're rewarded with some very good lather.
A very pleasant 3-pass shave, topped off with more of the same great herbal scent, the PdP aftershave balm.

    Have a blessed Sunday, all!

Sunday Morning will be a Cold Water Shave ! Using the WTG-XTG-ATG method worked each day that I shaved, It will used again tomorrow after I take my shower in the morning. On my shave on Thursday Using the WTG- XTG-ATG gave me such a BBS Shave I probably could have gone until Monday before I would need to shave again. Also on Friday Morning I did not really need to shave, but I used my Schick Xtreme 3 Disposable Razor, I had another BBS Shave, so I did not shave on Saturday Morning.
Also I guess I'm taking part in NO-Variation NOVember. I guess that's what happens when you don't want to think about things that you enjoy.May all of you folks have a blessed day on Sunday.

Found a yellow Gillette 7 O'Clock I didn't know I had. Tried it in the late '40s Super Speed and it just wasn't working...very sharp, but rough. Switched it to the S.A., which really made no difference. I ended up DFS+ with a few superfine papercut-like nicks, but overall a good shave. But I would not use this particular brand again.

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock One-X
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (6, 7, 8)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Le 3e Homme de Caron by Caron

Remember how I said yesterday that I couldn't let my mind wander while using the FaTip and expect a good shave? Guess what I did this morning? :angry032:
The prep was outstanding, the One-X lather seems, to me, to even have Speick beaten in terms of slickness, and the Bolzano was still doing well on day 3. Then, during the 3rd pass, my mind started to turn to other things - including, ironically, that I needed to be sure to mention how good the shave was in this entry - and presto! three weepers along the same stroke of the razor, as my angle and pressure went awry. BBS results, but not a very comfortable shave, thanks to that single stroke.

Another awesome shave even if I say so myself - the Super Speed cleaned me up beautifully. This Dorco blade is going in the garbage, however because it's pretty well finished. The MITA soap was a gift last year from my dear friend Ryan - in fact, it was this handsome young gentleman who introduced me to Rod's great soaps. This fine product smells wonderful, lathers rich and slick, and gives a HELL of a menthol effect which the Proraso Green aftershave really prolonged. For this coming week I'll be using a 7 AM blade in both my Super Speed and Micro-Touch razors. The Dorcos are just not my cup of tea. ;) :D

Today's 3 pass shave was excellent except for under my nose. It is really hard to get under your nose with an SE. Delightful lather with lots of slickness and a great scent. Off to watch the talking heads get it wrong about last week's election. Have a great day.

    Prep: Hot shower
Lather: Klar Kabinett (thanks Dale - @PanChango )
    Brush: Vie-Long 13061M
    Scuttle: Georgetown G12
    Razor: Gillette New SC
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
Post: cool rinse and CC Bay Rum

My IanS soaps puck bit the dust after yesterday afternoon's head shave, so I looked around at what I had and decided to use the Klar Kabinett I received from Dale earlier this year. I grated the bar into a bowl and then pressed it into my soap container. I filled it up with hot water and let it and my brush soak while I showered. The Klar immediately made a great deal of foamy soap suds and I was worried a bit but kept loading my brush. After 30 seconds or so I headed to the scuttle and very quickly had a shiny and dense looking lather. It went on my face like a nice slick yogurt and the shave itself was pretty uneventful. 2 passes with the New SC and I am ready to take on the day.

    Classic Sunday
I used Tabac and Krampert's today - two products that never fail and match well. My Aristocrat easily glided the Astra SP through the near optimal Tabac lather. The audible feedback made it easy to get the angle, and Krampert's finished it up right.

    Prep: warm face wash
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade: Astra SP (1)

    Hi Friends,

    Menthol Sunday Shave:

Prep: Dr. Bronner´s Magical Soap "Peppermint"
    Soap: I Coloniali
Razor: Frankenrazor (EJ DE89 Top Plate, Fatip Grande Baseplate and Toro Mastiff Handle)
    Blade: HEMA
    Brush: Scott Pavkovich "Chief"
Aftershave: I Coloniali 3in1 Aftershave Balm

Oh man...what a marvelous shave. The Dr. Bronner´s soap is freeeeezing. Hell yeah!!! :git:Now i know why i missed the I Coloniali soap so much...it´s cold, it creates wonderful, creamy, dense, slick lather and has a scent which is out of this world.

This in combination with my Frankenrazor was a terrific shave. Gentle, smooth and very relaxing. The Aftershave Balm is absolutely wonderful. Applied to the skin, there is a little cooling sensation with a great scent and lot of skincare. It can be used as a daily cream. I will test it in the coming week.

If you have the chance to build the head like i did, give it a go. You have the feeling that you shave with a closed comb. Smooth and very gentle and at the same time very very toroughly.

This was it for now. Now i will enjoy this sunny, warm autumn day and will have a walk around a large lake.

Take care and have a great time. Enjoy your shaves.

    Greetings
    Thorsten
