It's primarily witch hazel and alcohol with small amounts of aloe and glycerin for skin conditioning. peppermint/lavender scented. Plus menthol of course

Monday Morning 10Nov14 will be a Cold Water Shave again! I will also be using the WTG-XTG-ATG method, that has worked very well each day that I shaved, It will used again tomorrow after I take my shower in the morning. On my shave on Thursday Using the WTG- XTG-ATG gave me such a BBS Shave I probably could have gone until Monday before I needed to shave again. Also on Friday Morning I did not really need to shave, but I used my Schick Xtreme 3 Disposable Razor, I had another BBS Shave, so I did not shave on Saturday Morning. I shaved this morning again using both my ATT Atlas R-1 88mm Kronos Handle, and my Schick Xtreme 3 Disposable Razor. Also I guess I'm taking part in NO-Variation NOVember. I guess that's what happens when you don't want to think about things that you enjoy.

Excellent shave. The OCMM never lets me down and Sara-S's soap is a joy.

Tabac never fails... Another superb shave, this time with der Vorschlaghammer and Astra SP, which is a great combination for me. My face is very smooth and comfortable. I finished with a mixture of my favorite bay rums - Krampert's and HTGAM. They compliment each other nicely.

Not quite as face-freezing as yesterday but still PLENTY cold as well as effortlessly BBS and very comfortable. The Frost_byte soap lathered up for me 1, 2, 3 and provided great blade glide and skincare. It's a top-favourite of mine now. The Gold Bond moisturizer is so cooling and soothing for anyone with sensitive skin. The Rubby Dubby Doo is hard to beat for aftershave chilliness. These 7 AM blades are awesome - I really, really like them a lot. They're sharp as hell and smooth.

 

11/11/14 - Veteran's Day shave

On this day in 1918 in Clayton, New Mexico, my grandfather went to the courthouse to enlist in the army. He passed the physical and the soldier began to tell him when and where to expect to report when bells and whistles started going off and a great hullaboo was heard from the courthouse square. News had just arrived that the Armistice was signed and no more troops were to be called up. Must have been the shortest military career ever!

In his memory and in honor of all who have served, I shaved with a flare tip Super Speed, just like he did back in the day, with simple VDH soap lathered onto a wet face with a boar bristle brush and finished off with Old Spice.

Even with my new relaxed standards for what counts as a "decent shave," this doesn't qualify. I've had this BB for a year, and I haven't had one decent shave with it.

If you have sensitive skin, and nothing works for you, look for the Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion. I found it on my pharmacist's counter. It's done wonders for me.
