What's the one razor you regret giving away or selling? Or perhaps had the chance to buy but didn't? Pics if you got em
I've had 2 - TWO - Slim adjustables and have given both to friends. One is really into wet shaving, the other's interest has waned. I wish I could get that one back but that would be extremely rude. TWO. It's on my list of reacquistion.
I have not yet parted with anything, but my den houses a mere handful of razor options...maybe your friend will come back to wet shaving and the gift will be realized as it was intended. It was very thoughtful of you to supply a friend with such a nice tool. It speaks to how you want good things for those you care about. Don't regret it...it's silly.
Hopefully he does come back, I guess I regret that he doesn't appreciate it lol. Thanks though, I do care about people even though I'm a cranky old man in a young man's body.
I missed out on buying a Wade & Butcher SR with brass frameback..in great condition..for $50. I also once had the opportunity to buy a gold toggle razor, before I knew they were desirable, for $60.
I gave my 47 Aristocrat to my oldest son hoping he would take up the sport, but he didn't. I eventually approached him and told him that if he wasn't going to use it I could store it at my house. He took me up on it. So, I got it back. For a while I regretted it, but now I am happy to have it home. When I gave it to him I did not realize it was a 47. That was my birth year. Getting it back was sweet.
Sold off my Merkur Slant for being too aggressive. Over the years I've always wondered if it was more poor technique on my part than aggression on the razor's part (I had only been using s DE for a few months)
No razor regret, but when I was studying I just missed out on a barber's chair. I was going to pick it up (for free...) but someone else beat me to it. Bummer!
The only one I had regret selling was a Feather Portable. I more or less gave it away for postage than anything else. I paid $7 for it and hadn't used it for a year or so and hadn't planned on it again. Luckily a friend had one that wasn't being used and he sent me the head of the razor. They are hard to come by and I am glad to have it.
