I would love to take a trip there and meet them. I would probably go on a Glacial buying spree!

That's a great haul and an even better gesture by Rod and his family to open up and invite you in. Great guy.

I received some watermelon lip balm from Rod this week and have had a chance to use it. It performs terrific and is just what my chapped, cracked and bleeding lips need. Only thing is it smells like roast beef. Nah, just kidding. The watermelon scent is first rate and my lips are already healing.

    Thanks, Rod.

Gentleman, Rod is selling some of his shave soaps, including Glacial Spearmint and Glacial, for $4 right now  @crackstar I thought you'd want to know this in particular.

Just shaved with Glacial Wintergreen; I've had problems with Stirling in the past giving me irritation after the shave, but the Glacial has never been as bad (maybe because my face just goes numb). I gave it one last try, and man was that a great shave; the slickness in these soaps is just amazing, and my Gillette slim glided right over my face. Afterwards, I had some irritation, but that was due to weepers, and some Osage rub afterwards took that away.
I'm definitely going in for a puck of both Spearmint and Wintergreen; at that price, I can't say no.

Of late I'd say the Wintergreen is my favourite Glacial soap. The lather is so easy to work with and the skincare is brilliant, not to mention the instant deep-freezing effect it gives. :)

    Nag Champa a review.

If you are a fan this is a big Nag Champa bomb. If you have no idea what "Nag Champa" is well chances are you have smelled it. Just think back to canal street in New Orleans, 6th street in Austin, Spencer's gifts in your local mall or maybe the incense from the local Indian restaurant. Well one whiff will transport you to that lovely and sweet Ally Sheedy looking girl from high school. Well it did me. It's an awesome change of scent when you are looking for something out of the ordinary.

Lather and slickness is awesome as is usual with stirling products.

I tried 2 new (to me) Stirling products today for my shave.

Following my shave, I put a dab of Unrefined Shea Butter in my palm, as I always do, and mixed in the "Orange Chill" As Splash. The Orangy-Citrus scent and the great cool down mixed with the USB was awesome and I wore it like that all day.

When I got home, I took a shower and used my MITA Balm by itself. This stuff is great and leaves my face like only USB can. It's the first balm I've tried that I can keep. Others leave me either too greasy or too dry, but the MITA does a great job of moisturizing with a great cool down. I'm picky so it rarely happens that I like much of what I try, but these two are winners.

Thanks for the info - very appreciated.

@everyone, this morning I used the Glacial Obsidian soap which gave me such an intense menthol effect that my face was stinging from the cold. (Man, do I love it!)

@crackstar I hit the Glacial Obsidian once a week sept for the last 2 weeks as I've only hit one shave soap (Stirling Anise) and I'm performing the #seRazorTest where you use one blade till it wears out. Case anybody is wondering, I'm using a single Edge Stainless Steel PTFE blade from www.razorbladesandmore.com.... 15 shaves in and the bladeis still going strong! (I'm using theblade in a 1912 Gem Junior and a 1950 Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf.)

You guys should try Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo. It's Sharp Dressed Man but with the Glacial kick. It's amazing. I plan on using it today.

Is there a link for this deal? I can't find it on their site and I've been kicking myself for not picking up any bath soaps during my visit so I may be placing an order pretty soon. Sounds like my family might be getting Stirling soaps for Christmas.

Sadly, the Glacial Spearmint and Wintergreen sold out. Those ones were in quite limited supply, but if you go to the "sale" tab, you can see the other soaps on sale.

I used the Stirling Sharp Dressed Man A/S Balm for the first time this morning.

Pros: Great moisturing feel and a very nice, subtle scent. I like it quite a bit (this is my first balm by Stirling).

Cons: The scent did not, to me, resemble my beloved Sharp Dressed Man scent at all. It was a very nice, clean scent...but very different to Sharp Dressed Man.
A bit disappointed because of that as I was hoping for a balm with that same, wonderful scent - but it's a nice moisturizing balm nonetheless.

Grab a bottle of Sandalwood aftershave splash... that is all. It is a terrific one note monster!

I bailed on No Shave November a couple of days ago and have been using Stirling Barbershop and Sharp Dressed Man as well as the Sharp Dressed Man Aftershave.

The Barbershop scent is my favorite of the two but both are quality shaving soaps that lather easily and provide tons of protection and glide. The floral notes of Sharp Dressed Man are not my normal style and will have to stand the test of SWMBO before it can be made a permanent soap in my rotation. That said she didn't comment good or bad about my scent this morning and if she didn't like it I am sure I would have heard about it. As for me I enjoy the change to something more floral once the aftershave scent settled in.

Barbershop scent is exactly that and takes me right back to those trips to the barbershop with my grandpa as a child. This scent will be a permanent part of my rotation due to the quality of the shave I get as well as the explosive scent that comes from it as you lather it up.

The AS Splash is also high quality and left my skin feeling moisturized and comfortable, easily on par if not better than my usual Acqua Di Gio. It is definitely in my rotation to stay although I will have to figure out which scents to order when the sample size runs out.

For this Menthol Monday I'll use one of my Glacials - perhaps the Lemon Chill.
