I'm not sure if I look younger or not; I'm still trying to get used to that stranger staring back at me in the mirror! :D :scared003:

Bruce, great new look, my friend! I say shave everything and see what your wife says. You'll have so much more area to face-lathering and use your razors on! :happy108:

Today if we were in the same room and I did not know you had shaved it all off I wouldn't recognize you unless you had your hat

Thanks Celestino! I won't shave the 'Stach though. The last time I shaved off my 'stach was in the early 90's at my Yacht Club Commodore installation. I hated it and grew it back immediately. I have had my 'Stach since 1972 and only shaved it that one time. My Wife didn't like the clean upper lip look at all. :D

Bruce, you look fantastic! Whenever I shaved off a beard I always loved the way my face felt after that first shave. :happy096: And :signs107: to your wife for reaching the goal!

My face did feel different after shaving the beard. When I walked around the breeze felt cool on my cheeks. :happy088: Thanks for the kind words, I wouldn't mind looking a little younger. ;)

    Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Perma-sharp (1)
    Brush: Vie-Long White Horse Hair

An awesome BBS this morning with lots of menthol from proraso and barbasol. I liked permasharp more than feather. Permashar is both comfy and sharp.

    Razor : Pleese-Amcor
    Brush : Omega 20248
    Lather : Mem Olive cream
    Blade : Gillette Platinum
    Post : Floid Genuine

It was an excellent shave today also.
A word about the razor :
The Razor in NOS condition with stamped " Amcor " and " Pleese" on the back.
The Israeli Amcor-Plesse Company made this razor from 1957 and up to the 1970s for the I.D.F (Israel Defense force). It has the army mark on the bottom of the handle ( צ ). The symbol on the bottom of the razor is the I.D.F official logo that is marked on every army item since 1948. It is a Hebrew letter abbreviated from the Hebrew word ZAHAL which means I.D.F. (Israel Defense Force). The razor was introduced as standard issue to new recruitments.

Congratulations Bruce! It must be ESP because I've been thinking the past few days that I should ask you whatever happened to your promise. I was thinking maybe you chickened out so I'm glad you didn't. I am curious about whatever happened to the lady barber thing that was originally proposed.
Again, congratulations. You should get several hundred husband points for this one so be sure to put them to good use. I'm also guessing you might get shaving gear for Christmas this year.

Here's another cream and facial wash which I haven't used in ages - the Nivea is nothing special as far as a facial wash is concerned. It's not terrible, but it's not that great either. It gets the face clean and supposedly it contains a bit of menthol but I don't feel any. The Pascale cream is from Bulgaria, and it smells awesome, lathers like crazy, and it has a very light menthol presence which the Gold Bond moisturizer and Barbon aftershave really beefed up. My Lord Super did a great job of knocking off my tough stubble this morning. ;) :D

Here I am, 11 months or so into this DE shaving lifestyle and I am pretty certain that I have nailed down the razor and blade that just flat out works on my increasingly graying whiskers and my habit of shaving every day. My Weber PH and the Voskhod blade is consistently outstanding, smooth and leaves me near BBS every time without a hint of razor burn anywhere to be found. Sharp yet mild, hefty but balanced. I think I may put even my New SC aside and save it and my other vintage Gillettes for head shaving and the off chance that I have more than 1 day stubble on my face.

May your day be blessed and your shave be smooth!:happy093:

Puma razors are among my favorite German shavers. I have many of them and they all are reliable and capable of a deep shave. This number 39 is not anything less than its other fine feline brothers and gives an excellent and smooth shave. Just perfect!
