Noticed that Virginia Sheng is having quite a few 50% off deals right now - with free shipping
Supposedly they sell some rather decent synthetic knots and brushes as well.

This deals seems rather price competitive:
6 boar brushes for $6.94 w/ free shipping

That might actually be a better deal than the No 6 hors....boar brush :)

The one with the ceramic handle is nice but that one doesn't come w/ free shipping and will set you back a whole $6:

I'm considering the ceramic one - six brushes is a tad too much for me :)

I may do both. If the wood handles are any good, it would make a killer newbie PIF kinda kit addition. That's why I am interested.

It starts about half way down the page on the right on the Ebay page. Talks about items such as shipping, badger/boar used, brush smells and cleaning, etc.

Nice find. I'll probably pass, however. I love my cheapie brushes. My first brush was a $10 VDH boar and I use it regularly. It's well broken in and whips up lather like a champ. I've used all sorts of brushes including an AOS best badger, I still prefer the VDH boar. Although my favorite brush is still the Omega 48

Be careful with some of those because they could be boar hairs that have had the ends clipped and if that is the case, they would be difficult (not impossible) to get the tips to split.
