Thanks, Bruce! I've been very pleasantly surprised at how great these big bad boys feel on the face! Although the wostenholm above is more 'delicate' than the beastie W&B wedge, it shaved as well as any razor I've used to date. What a joy! I've been patiently waiting to shave with this Wostenholm since I picked it up way back in March from an antique shoe in Nevada city! Well-worth the wait!

Chris, majority of my duds (and I've quite a few!) never see the light of day…let alone given an online presentation!
They go back somewhere into the queue until another day. :D

    Less that Optimal Equipment shave

∙cheap black plastic Gillette flip-open DE
∙gently used Schick blade of unknown vintage
    ∙TSD vetiver/Omega brush

The razor is functional and more aggressive than one might expect. Shave-wise, it feels comparable to a standard '50s era Super Speed. The problem was the blade, which had less edge on it than I expected. Switched to a Big Ben and got a fine BBS result.

Got a big meeting this morning at 0745 so I'd best lay off the a/s.

today's shave went well. I face lathered the Latoja,a gift from the traveling box tour. the scent was nice.I had to rewet the other side of my face to let it glide nicely. Prolly my fault,I normally bowl lather. three passes with the hammer, rarely disappoints. Nice close shave today. finished with iced musk. would have preferred to match with the Latoja scent, is very nice.
Hope y'all do as well, or better.

Only a hopelessly-addicted menthol monkey like me could choose a set-up like this on a bitterly-cold morning and enjoy it. The Neutrogena facial wash is so damned cold, especially after it's been on your face for a couple of minutes. The Frost_byte soap pulverized my face with a menthol effect that lasts even right now as I type this, and the combination of the Gold Bond moisturizer and the Rubby Dubby Doo is ungodly frigid. I'm really loving my Lord Super DE - with a new 7 AM it gave me a terrific BBS shave, and with hardly any effort. ;) :D

    Tabacstag!
Tabac never fails. Easy, smooth lather building with my HIS lather monster, cleanly removing my stubble was the Aristocrat and an Astra SP. Finishing with Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum. Excellent shave all around.

I dropped the Wacker last night and the edge had a snaggle toothed appearance, so back to the hones. The shave was a little lacking this morning so another tune up will be coming up. Luckily no real damage was done. Have a good one.

    SOTD: Stealth Travel Edition I

Got the RR Stealth Slant in the mail yesterday just before leaving for a business trip and I couldn't just leave it home. So, I packed it and bought some Personna blades at Walgreens when I got to my destination. These blades haven't been good to me in the past (they are not the same as lab blues or med preps, which work pretty well for me). I was overly careful and got a DFS but not BBS. No irritation though, so the Stealth tamed a blade that normally gives me some tugging and irritation in a Merkur head. I will really get a feel for this razor when I pair it with a Feather. It was fun using it anyway.

    B&M Cheshire soap
    Plisson L'occitane synthetic brush
    RazoRock Stealth Slant razor

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat, JR Torrey straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: L'Occitane - Cade
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme

A comfortable shave this morning. The Vie Long whipped up the Cade into a good lather. The Torrey and the Aristocrat made short work of the stubble. The AV brought some chill to the shave and the Prada will have me smelling good all day. With only a small weeper on my chin I ended up with a Darn Fine Shave +.

    Have a blessed day!

    Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb-Relplated!

Maggard Limes & Bergamot today. 20 seconds: load & go with the ER Silvertip. Easy, excellent lather! I just got my NEW SC back from Chris at razorplating.com. He did a great job! I loaded a new Personna Med Prep in it and went to town. Excellent, smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with a new aftershave from Country Club, Southern Oud. It has a great scent!
