    Prep:
Hot shower, cool rinse, Mike's Natural Bath Soap - Barbershop
    Razor: 1949 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Bolzano - 2
    Brush: Whipped Dog Boar - 30mm X 60mm
Lather: Strop Shoppe - Baker Street
Post: Alum stick, Dickinson's+, Aloe Vera Toner, Gold Bond Green Lotion
    Aftershave: Fine - Fresh Vetiver

Hanging on with the birth year Super Speed for this week. Love those little SS TTOs, they give an outstanding shave. The Bolzano blade started out a little rough on the beginning of the first shave yesterday but smoothed out for an excellent BBS shave today. The WD Boar made a ton of lather with the Strop Shoppe Soap. Have a great shave today!

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy (3), H. Boker Master Razor straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (3)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Tabac
After: Home made ASB, Tabac after shave
    Cologne: Tabac Eau De Cologne

Tabac Day!! The #6 whipped up the Tabac soap to a thick and protective lather. The Boker and FB did their job admirably. The AS and the EDC will keep me smelling good for the rest of the day. No cuts, no nicks and no weepers. All in all a Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

This was the setup I probably would have used for the first day of Deer Season, had (a) I actually gone hunting this year, and (b) had I not been under the strictures of NO-Variation NOVember. :)

I enjoyed this so much yesterday that I decided to do it again!

I am at home again following a set back. The Staph Infection has returned with a vengance after a week of oral antibiotics. I had to have what is called a Picc-Line placed a vein in my right arm so that I can provide myself IV antibiotics at home each evening for four weeks until this is cleared up. Hopefully with a couple of days worth of antibiotics I can return to work but the right arm cannot be strained and must be protected with a plastic wrapping while showering to keep the Picc-Line area dry.

    http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/tc/central-venous-catheters-topic-overview

Hopefully longer term antibiotics will do the trick.

I did. It was a hard thing to do. ;) I really like the shaves I get from the ball end tech, I'll go with it tomorrow to burn the blade and back to the 102.

Prep: Hot shower. Neutrogena face wash.

    Brush: AoS mini badger.

Lather: TOBS Sandalwood cream (from my Secret )

Razor: Merkur 37C Slant (from my Secret )

Blade: Feather (from my Secret )

Post: Cold water; Razorock Alum Block.

After: Homemade aftershave "Michigan Morning" (see the cool Custom label I created from one of my own Michigan photos?) - a blend of fir, cypress, blue spruce and cedarwood essential oils, with Witch hazel and a dash of alum, plus distilled water, glycerine and a few drops of jojoba oil to add a little slip and moisture, all in a base of Tanqueray Rangpur gin with just a little bit of menthol added in. Kind of ++ with a bit of and a healthy amount of +️. :)

Loved the new Slant. Got a BBS shave, with just a couple of tiny spots on my neck where I got careless and/or went too fast. Which led me to believe that I am going to alter my shave routine a little tomorrow and start with the back of my head and my neck... Since I tend to rush a bit by the time I reach that area, and I believe I'm not only getting careless but am allowing the soap to dissipate by the time I get there, especially since I'm shaving that area primarily by feel and not by sight. So tomorrow I'm going to start back there, thinking I will move more slowly and have more slip and cushion to protect the sensitive skin back there. Then I'll lather up the front and sides and shave normally. Hoping this will improve my results.

Got to say that for me, the 37C Slant gave me a better shave than the Merkur 34C. And normally I might have found the Feather blade to be a bit harsh... But it seemed just fine with the Slant. Maybe next time with the Slant I will use a Voskhod or Ladas blade (my two favorites so far). Or maybe an Iridium, since I haven't tried one of those yet.

Good look on the Corn Huskers. I use it almost daily in the winter. I use it as a pre and post shave also on my hands. No chapped skin for me.

    Shower
Soap: Dr. Bronner's Lavender Bar Soap
    • Shampoo: Head & Shoulders Clinical Strength
    • Conditioner: Suave Professionals Volumizing (I hear the ridicule now)

    Shave
Prep: Hot shower, Dr. Bronner's Lavender Bar Soap, Every Man Jack Signature Mint Face Scrub
    • Brush: Van Der Hagen Deluxe Boar
    • Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    • Razor: Magic Shavette
    • Blade: Micro Touch One/Dorco (3)
    • Passes: WTG/ATG
    • Post: Warm water rinse, Cold water rinse, Alum block, Thayer's Cucumber Witch Hazel, Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil, Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Not particularly hairy today. But after a whole month of not shaving, I just miss my ol' ritual too much to skip today. 2 passes with the Magic Shavette. Grated the last bits of my MWF puck into the bowl. The puck dried out due to inactivity and started crackling. Was able to revive it. Worked like a charm. Used Africa's Best Herbal Oil for the first time. I have an issue with chapped skin in the winter, I used this as a post shave moisturizer, it's okay so far. We'll see. I put a bit too much on because I look shiny and feel a little greasy. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.

No ridicule here! I keep my hair between 1/16 and 1/8 inch. I use conditioner and hair tonic...the scalp should feel and look as great as the shaved face!

Had my first shave with the MMCP. It is aggressive and I will have to do more shaves to compare it to the MMOC and otherSE's that use Gem blades. A great shave.

First time using my HFT/G-Bar and I have to say I loved the shave.
The handle was a bit 'awkward' but I got a very, very smooth and clean shave in just two passes.

The Zirh Erase tonic continues to impress me and it will have a permanent place in my den.
