Prep: Hot shower. Axe Shield Face Wash
Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech 1966 L2
    Blade: Ladas
    Brush: Omega Pro 49
    Lather: MdC
    Post: Alum. Dickinson WH

I noticed Kevin used the Pro 49 with MdC, so I gave it a try. Wow! I was rewarded with a pile of creamy lather. The Gillette Ball End Tech will be back into the rotation soon. :sad029:
    Go out and get it!

Tomac SSS does kind of sound like a jet plane doesn't it? The Tomac Super Stainless Steel are actually re-branded Gillette Spoilers and I lucked into them around a year ago on ebay. Bought the 1st 100 on ebay for $8.00, decided to look up the specs on the Tomac and that is when I found out they were re-branded Spoilers. Went back to the seller and bought the last two hundred that he still had available at the time for another $20. I have found I can get at least a dozen shave with one of these blades and with two of them have reached 20 shaves. Helps that since I started using PSO I only need two pass shaves 90% of the time.

I know exactly what you mean. I have the same issue. Less passes, no pressure, and good prep have helped me with the source of irritation.

Thanks Guy, that's some great information. The Gillette spoilers were great blades and I think one of the last DE blades Gillette made back before they went with the carts. I think they sold the manufacturing tooling to India or Russia when they stopped making blades in the US. I wonder if someone is making them (the spoiler equivalent) under a different name from another country that can be purchased today and what that brand name is? It sounds like the Tomac SSS line is discontinued. (?) :(

SoTD, Thursday, Dec. 4, more Gemology.

    Soap- Bearded Jack's Eucalyptus Lavender
    Brush- Erskine
    Razor- Gem bullet tip Micromatic
    Blade- cvs
    Rinse- Osage
    Aftershave- Avon Leather
    Lotion- score
    Cologne- Cordovan

Another Gem, another great shave. I found this Micro to be a touch milder than the G-Bar from yesterday. But it also have me a 2 pass bbs shave. So results are quite similar. I like the Bullet Tip quite a bit, but I didn't connect with it as strongly as I did with its older brother, the OCMM.
The Bearded Jack's soap continues to wow me. Great fragrance, and fantastic lather. All in all, a good shave day. Not an earth shaker or anything, but a good start to the day.
