The Rapira Swedish matches very well with the Weishi to provide a nice smooth shave.

Nivea for Men Sensitive Face Wash
Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap
    Omega Pro 49 boar brush
    Schick Krona
    Feather Hi-Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap lathered well with my Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush. I am bowl lathering until I get the stitches out of my cheek. Two passes with my Schick Krona and Feather Hi-Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I am really liking this Feather blade. I am getting the least feedback from the alum block of any blade.

I enjoyed a couple new items in today's shave. I got to finally try Cattie's Bubbles soap (Spanish Holiday), and this stuff lathers up grrrreat! The homemade PSO is super slick, thanks again @ram57. This was my last shave with the mirror finish mongoose head, tomorrow I get to try the satin finish which should be interesting for comparisons.

Have a good one gents..the weekend is almost here.

    Thursday:
hot shower w/Saponificio Artigianale Fiorentino Limone bar soap
    Somersets PSO
    Gillette FatBoy (9) 2 passes
    Gillette SuperThin Platinum (4)
    VDH Deluxe boar
Derby Lemon cream in a warm mug
    Thayers Lemon
    Fine Platinum AS

Had such a close shave yesterday that I wasn't ready this morning but after work I needed to get cleaned up for a shirt and tie event tonight so a quick two pass was in order. The lemon bar soap I picked up recently is quickly becoming a favorite at our house as SWMBO already swiped a bar so I'm thinking I need to hide the last one from the three pack. The SuperThin felt like it needed to be retired after only four shaves so it hit the blade bank one shave sooner than what I wanted. Don't ask me why I've decided that a "good" blade needs to last five shaves but somehow I've got it in my head I'm not getting my money's worth with anything less than that. Never mind the fact that I've got enough blades for an army.

I don't "own" any just yet..lol. I signed up for the trial tour, and got lucky that they are swapping heads on my turn. I'm on the batch 2 list, and this experience will help me choose which finish I will order. Thanks for the compliment.

Having not had the best shaves from any of my Gillette News, I've retired them to the collection yet seeing your recently replated specimen somehow makes me think maybe mine would work better if they were shinier :happy005:
