Post: Honeybee Gardens Bay Rum splash, Nivea Mentholated Sensitive balm

I was getting ready for bed at 1:30 AM and decided to pull an experiment in hurry up shaving given my troubles with it last shave. I resolved to keep at it until an acceptable solution is reached so that the next time I actually need a speedy shave, I will achieve it without getting blood on my shirt collar afterwards.

I reached for the black tip and cremo with no prep, not even washing the face. Just splashed water on and spread the cremo. Loaded a new blade and went to town on my day and a halfs worth of growth, not expecting much.

I actually was surprised, at how well this combo worked out. I achieved a DFS+ shave with no bleeding. First time using the Black Tip Gillette and I really am impressed. Fine shaver.

So I found one combo I can rely on next time I'm crunched for time and need a clean shaven face. Which happens every couple weeks or so for me.

Total shave time, 15 minutes. Mission objective complete.

today's shave went well. recent posts inspired me to open the fatboy up to 9. very nice, two passes left me with a nice shave. I went for three, bbs with a weeper on my neck. I finished with a mix of clubman and veg. wife said it ess better than veg alone, I'm not so sure.

Another big thanks to my dear friend Ryan who was the one who introduced me to Rod's wonderful soaps - the MITA has such a delightful scent and gives great menthol cooling along with brilliant post-shave care. I could have easily done four or five passes, but two were enough to get me BBS to the point that I'm as smooth as a glass table top. My Lord Super is such a great razor. The Proraso Green aftershave added plenty of extra cooling and really soothes my sensitive skin properly.

TOBS Avocado today. 10 seconds: load & go with the ER Silvertip. Easy, excellent lather. Personna Med Prep still in the NEW SC. Incredible, smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished Country Club Modern Fougere.

After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
Cologne: Leather Oud

A cool and rainy Friday morning. The #6 easily whipped the TSD soap into a wonderful lather. The GEM Push Button always gives a comfortable shave. The Frenchie did its job admirably. The AV brings the protection and the Leather Oud will have me smelling great for the rest of the day. All in all a great 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

Another mild & damp morning, and another excellent shave. 30ºF/-1ºC @ 06:00, light snow and rain. 50ºF/10ºC this afternoon and clearing skies. The Packwood was smooth as glass and it's just plain ol' fun shaving with a 200 year old razor! Cella's aces, as always, and the reknotted Made Rite is fuzzy lil' lather makin' machine. All in all an outstanding way to kick off any Friday. Have a good 'un folks.

Slow & steady work resulted in a very close, smooth and chilly 3-pass shave.
