Not much. I only have about 1/8 inch left. but the good thing is, my hair was never great when I had all of it. Not much lost.
I use a razor Anything over a 1/4 inch and I feel like a hippy. Just much easier to shave it all then deal with the mess of hair products.
If I have some sticking up and nobody's looking, I'll spit in my hand and smooth it down. What other hair care products do you need?
I still have a buzz cut like the first day in 1962 when I was a recruit at Parris Island in the Marine Corp. Nothing needed other than I run the clippers over my head every week or so
Does it still smell as good as it did in 1965? If I ever go with a flat top again, I'll consider using it again!
Can't answer the question. I had no hair in '65 but I can't imagine Lucky Tiger changed it. UPDATE. I detected little aroma with Cru Butch.
I cannot recommend Bona Fide pomade enough! I've tried a few including Old Spice Spiffy, American Crew, etc but this stuff tops 'em all. www.bonafidepomade.com
lately I've been using pinaud hair gel smells like clubman, holds hair nice, not sticky, lasts all day
I heartily agree, and add that the clubman scent while strong initially, seems to dissipate to nothing within a few minutes after applying. It's good stuff for the price.
I was using Suavecito firm, but recently switched to Tres Flores too. It is less expensive and I think works about as well as Suavecito.
I used to use Vidal Sassoon mousse and Got2B water-based Gel, but both have horrible parabens in them, so I tossed them. I'm going to get a tub of Clubman gel from the Sally Beauty Supply on my way home today. I also use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree S&C(Not going to buy a 2nd duo, too expensive). And Dove Moisture from Costco(Most probably will buy again haha).
So I have tried a lot of different pomades/waxes/etc. Various American Crew products, Retro Vinyl pomade, Suavecito, Groom & Clean, Shea Moisture pomade, others... I've mostly settled on Retro Vinyl because it's cheap ($6 compared to $15+ for the American Crew stuff), widely available and pretty close to what I'm looking for: nice and shiny, and decent hold but not stiff. But last week, on a whim, I picked up a tub of Sportin' Waves at Walgreens. $1.99. And it's great! Really as good or better than anything else I've tried, and a lot cheaper. And that $1.99 is for 3.5 oz., where the Retro Vinyl is only 2 oz. Petroleum based but washes out with no problem. It's in the African-American hair care section, but works just fine on my white guy hair. I really think it's going to be my go-to hair product going forward.
