Well, that not cool. How come there is still people selling stuff in eBay? Is it illegal for me to import it? Or is it just illegal to export from the U.S.?

 

Because Homeland Security believes you're going to use gallons of cheap aftershave from the US to create a dirty bomb. Two years ago all Axe products began being stopped at the border and it's escallated from there.

 

Good question. I think if you import it you might pay a fine for importing outside the E.U. but I don't think there are limitations on transporting alcohol in the E.U.
To my understanding whoever in the USA sends it to you is breaking the rules or law. No idea if this is a law or not.

There's nothing illegal about sending it, there are no laws about it. It's just an international shipping thing. No shippers will fly a bottle of it overseas because it's combustible and in the bottle it can explode/implode due to pressure changes. People selling and shipping them on ebay are just taking a chance of it not being found out, and aren't declaring what it actually is. Legit retailers won't do it because they don't want to lose stock and then have to refund the customer.

 

So if its not illegal i'll try and get some AS =P

Sorry about that. I let the last one get away from me when 2 yahoos got into a bidding war. See an earlier post in this thread for a pic. It's a smooth shaver, and I love the look. I posted a pic in the SOTD earlier in the week. You won't have any competition from me as that was my last razor purchase.

I found this today at a P&R Discounts. They specialize in nearly out-of-date food, but they also sell some overstock.

It came with 5 Derby blades, but that's ok. I'm going to take them to Santa at the mall. I understand he uses them in place of coal these days.

I must have gotten really lucky when I sent myself a bottle of run when I was in Spain. It was waiting for me when I got home.

 

this morning I knocked my vdh brush/razor stand if the counter onto the tile floor.
it broke into two pieces.
so I modified it with some granite I had from another project.

then I loaded it with tomorrow's planned shave. mailman was pretty good to me today.
