Note: Don't link to active eBay auctions. This is if you see a shaving related photo on eBay that makes you..laugh...shake your head...or roll your eyes Here is my contribution: From an ad selling an injector razor
Ad copy: "Very collectable and nice historic piece...." ...just don't try and shave with it. "Vintage Solingen Germany Straight Razor...please see ALL my pics for the exact condition." One pic is enough....
Many of the eBay sellers are simply widget movers. They simply get X and try to sell it for as much as they can get, regardless of what X is and how much it is actually worth. It can be razors, bowling balls, dirt clods, whatever. That being said, some of that junk should just be chucked in the recycle bin. That white-handled straight razor looks like it had portions of the blade already recycled. How else would the blade get cutouts like that on it?
Thought I'd start a thread here of things I've spotted on eBay (or elsewhere) that were so far off from reality that it is humorous. Yes, it may be juvenile, but sometimes you spot something so ludicrous that you feel the need to share it with others who can see the humor. No links here to live auctions, obviously, and if by some *remote* chance the listing is YOURS, please send a PM and we can remove the post. No offense to anyone is intended and we should keep usernames etc. out of any posts. This is strictly intended as light humor, not to berate anyone. So, without further ado, I give you... Crazy stuff I saw this week! Rhodium? I don't think so. And even if it were. Ooh, 20% off? The next time my wife says cartridge razors are good enough, I'm showing her this. But at least the shipping is free. And last but not least... The best part is that if you buy two, you get a third at a 10% discount. Anyone want to do the math? How much is that per blade?
