Today I used a sample of L.A.S.S. woody lavender. This is not a sweet lavender, having wood overtones.


I also used some home made pre-shave oil that I mixed up last night. 2 parts olive oil, 1 part castor oil. I only made a total of 1.5 tsp and did not add any scents or menthol. I was impressed at how well it worked. I am not crazy about the smell, that is a minor thing.

After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
Cologne: Christian Dior - Cuir Cannage

Another cool 40 degree morning. The Vie Long brush took a few minutes to whip up the Marlborough soap. The GEM blade paired with the Star razor and the Torrey did great job. The AV brought some chill and the Cuir Cannage will have me smelling great for the rest of the day. All in all a Darn Fine Shave + has been the result.

The S1 head is the real deal. I will put up a full review in the ATT Slant thread later and compare it to RRKS. I brought out my best stuff (Rapira PL, WD brush, and the Freedberg) as I was worried the S1 would be much more aggressive than the RRKS. I had a 2 pass DFS requiring essentially no touch up . No nicks or weepers. Small bit of irritation on my chin due to unadulterated jubilation (i.e. My fault).

The Whipped Dog made a mountain of super slick lather for an excellent two pass BBS shave. The Dragon's Blood has an outstanding scent with great moisturizing. The Ladas pulled a little but made it through its final shave. Have a great day!

Soap: Mystic Water sensitive

Blades: Gillette SharpEdge yellow
After: Cold rinse, witch hazel, CeraVe lotion

The Mystic Water soap and the big boar brush made a great lather. The pairing of the Gillette yellow blade with the Feather razor worked very well, smooth and easy.

 

Well to me it's a lot like Puredistance M. As for scent the Immortelle is upfront then you get a honey and leather note and then some Cedar a really mellow type of a scent and not very cloying. Lucked out and got a great price on a decant of it. I am a slave to my nose among other things. But I digress and to answer your question. He probably smells like some old mean dude. Glad I wasn't around to meet him.
