    TOBS Grapefruit Shaving Cream
    Frank Shaving Finest Badger brush
    Merkur 37c Slant
    Feather Hi-Stainless (new blade)
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Feather I was using began to tug on shave six, so I am changing blades and razor today. The TOBS Grapefruit Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Frank Shaving Finest Badger brush. Two passes with my Merkur 37c Slant and Feather Hi-Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I got a smooth and effortless shave today from this setup. It far exceeded my expectations, and I applaud the performance of the Ian S. Soap.

I recent picked up this brush for another BST thread, and the owner included this tin of soap for free. Turns out it was actual soapmaker...Ian. Pretty Good stuff.

    Enjoy your weekend gents...

    • Hot shower
    • Home made Cedar and Eucalyptus PSO - Neck only
    • TOBS Sandalwood - First time using it. Very nice scent. Smooth and thick. However, it dried out on the face quickly. Will try some adjustments tomorrow.
    • L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic - First day for this brush. Wow, it's fantastic. Built a good lather out of what I think may have been too little cream. Felt like a feather on my face. No scritching.
    • '54 SS - Second time using. Still loving it. Will the DE89 ever make another appearance?
    • Personna Lab Blue (2) - As good as the first day. Will give it a third and see how it goes.
    • Crystal Alum - Hardly any feedback this time and only one super tiny weeper.
    • Dove Balm - First time using this also. Very soothing and a pretty decent scent.
    • D&G Light Blue
It was a mild shave today. Only one pass on the neck and two every place else.

I've been shaving with vintage DE razors for a long time and forgot how an EJ shaves well. It was a great two-pass shave.

Another pleasurable three-pass shave using this big-bladed George Wostenholm 'Pipe' razor.
This blade sat in a drawer for nearly 9 months before I finally got around to putting on new scales, sharpening and actually using it to shave. Now that I've used it for three shaves, I'm sorry I waited so long. ;) The IK soap, by the way, is truly an excellent shave soap: great lather and superb skin conditioning. Top shave, all around.
    Have a blessed Sunday, all!

Soapy Bathman Black Magic soap (sample)
    Plisson synthetic brush
    RazoRock Stealth Slant razor
    Feather blade
    Queen Charlotte balm
    CO Bigelow Elixir Black cologne

I have been using the Mongoose the past few days and wanted to give the Stealth some love. Both are fantastic razors.

Mr Soapy Bathman, Chris Erskine, did a great job with this soap. The scent makes me feel like there should be a black light turned on and Led Zeppelin playing. Psychedelic soap. image.jpg

These days I'm using soaps and creams which I've regrettably neglected for a long period of time and this Tweex stick which is also from Turkey did not disappoint me at all. It's very similar to the fantastic Arko stick with a very similar scent and great lather, in fact I find these two sticks almost identical. The only thing I find is that the Tweex is slightly less skin-friendly, but the difference is very slight. The Booster Polar Ice is one of my favourite aftershaves - it's another Canadian barbershop classic, and it even says so on the bottle. Although this shave was completely unmentholated it was still very enjoyable. ;) :D

    Mastro Livi "Perugia 13.12.14"

A very special shave. This razor has been made by Mastro Livi in occasion of the meetup in his workshop with some Italian wet shaver enthusiasts and it is made from the very same stainless steel used for Grifetto. Also the shaving soap has something to do with yesterday's meetup as it is a very kind and appreciated present the maker of PannaCrema soap gave to all participants. I must say I am very impressed by my new Mastro Livi "Perugia 13.12.14" as well as the new formula of PannaCrema shaving soap, for and absolutely smooth and velvety shave.
    • Pre-Shave: Proraso Green Cream
    • Soap: PannaCrema Nostalgia Shaving Soap
    • Brush: Mastro Livi Silvertip Badger, Madagascar Ebony Handle, 26 mm knot
    • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Mastro Livi "Perugia 13.12.14", 15/16 Full Hollow, Spanish Point
    • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • After Shave: RazorGuy Bay Rum Aftershave

I made up a larger batch of pre-shave made of 2 parts olive oil, 1 part glycerin, and 1 part castor oil. This works amazingly well as a pre-shave for me.

lather was Geo. F. Trumper Lilac with TOBS Lavender
    Gillette New Long Comb
    Ladas blade

4 passes today for a great shave. Zero irritation and as good of a shave as I have ever had.

    Gillette single ring(1917)
    Astra sp(1)
    Stetson a/s, balm, cologne
today's shave went well. still learning Sparky's brush. I find it very easy to face lather, not so much in a bowl. single ring did well, three passes and touch-up. smooth enough. finished with Stetson, reminiscent of my paternal grandad.

    Hey Friends,

hope you are alright. :) I finished my 3rd Advent shave with the following equipment:

    Soap: Proraso Red
    Brush: Plisson Synthetic
    Razor: Merkur 1904 Open Comb
    Blade: Croma Diamant
    Aftershave: Myrsol Emulsion

Yep...great shave. The Proraso smells really nice and fits with a very cold winterday here in Germany. Brush and Razor did a good job everytime i use them and the Myrsol Emulsion stands for itself. For me, it´s the best Aftershave Balm i´ve used so far. Amazing stuff.

I wish all of you a happy 3rd Advent. Stay healthy and have a wonderful Christmas Time.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    London Sunday
I went for the London Barbershop experience today and I was rewarded with an excellent shave. The lather seemed especially fluffy from too much water, but a little extra loading solved that. Der Vorschlaghammer easily removed my stubble on the fourth day with this Voskhod blade. I'm impressed with these blades, and I'm likely to add them to my den at some point. Maggard's matching aftershave is an excellent finish as always.
I tried Kiehl's face wash today and it seems like a good product so far.
