What DE blade would you like to try but haven't yet? Maybe it's out of production, or maybe you just haven't gotten around to it yet. Let's hear what you want to try but haven't.
I'll go first. My first razor, a Weishie, came with a tuck each of Dorco 300's and Super YingJiLi. I have since ordered a 24 variety (125 blades) sampler from Amazon, another 6 tucks from Shave A Buck and the 2 Merkurs that came with my 34C. That gives me 33 varieties in total. But the one I most want to try but don't have in my arsenal yet is PolSilver Super Iridium. I've read a lot of high praise for these blades. The next time I order from somewhere that sells Polsilver by the tuck, this is sure to be on the list.
I ordered the 50 pack of blades off Amazon in October. I also nabbed 8 blades off Tryablade. I probably went through only 10% of the 50 pack. So far I enjoyed the Astra SP, Astra SS, Gillette 7 O'clock SS and Personna Lab Blue. Next on my list I want to try the Voskhod blades. Very excited to see how they shave!
I've wanted to try Sputnik blades. If I ever order from a place that sells them, I'll be getting them.
I've got a custom sample pack on the way from TryABlade. I wish I had included Big Ben and Polsilver in that order. But, the Lab Blue has been doing so well that I'll probably stick to them when I start the "30 day rule." I am really curious about a few blades in my sampler though: Bolzano Superinox, Croma Diamant, Crystal, Feather, Gillette 7 O'Clock yellows, Med Preps, Voskhod, Wilkinson Sword.
I just discovered TryABlade a few days ago. Awesome site. Will probably add several more to my stockpile. Including PolSilver.
I got a 90 blade sampler(14 different blades). I have tried half of them, plus I got some other blades from a fellow member. I don't introduce new blades often, but I think I'm ready to try feathers =) I just don't get around to doing it =P I'm already using blades that work great =P
Try a blade looks really cool. I'd really like to try the blue Astra's and I've been interested in the Personna med prep and lab blue. I tend to really enjoy Personna
I wanted to try a Personna 74 but once I heard some guys say it was not (for them) on the smoother end of the blade spectrum, I changed my mind.
I'd be one to try the persona 74's. my only hesitation would be, I'd hate to love something that is difficult to obtain.
I'd love to just try a Personna 74, but I'm not really willing to pay for them. Others I still haven't tried are the Bolzanos and the Treet Durasharps. There are also quite a few that I have tried in other razors, but not yet in my new favorite Fatboy.
Someone mentioned the Voskhod in another thread about the Feather blade. I don't think I want to buy 100 of them, though. I usually buy from Amazon for the convenience factor and that is the only listing for that blade. The Personna 74 sounds interesting, too.
Looks like these are made for the medical market... http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Personna-...t=US_Shaving_Hair_Removal&hash=item3396b40ff0
Those aren't 74s. Those are med preps. 74s are vintage blades that are rumored to be amazingly sharp and keep their edge 10 to 20 times longer than other DE blades.
Ah, thanks. I saw some of those for sale on ebay. I think I'd go back to my Mach 3 Turbo before I'd pay that much for a DE blade.
