Sundays Shave

I had been using my DE89 for a while and getting some good shaves, but since switching to a different razor the shaves haven't been as good so I have decided to use just one razor for a while and perfect my technique with that razor, which is , a slim


Razor - Gilette Slim
Brush - Whipped Dog 22mm Silvertip
Lather - Tabac
Blade - Gilette Silver Blue
Aftershave - Nivea for Men

Tabac was great as usual, and the shave was pretty good too. I hope you all had a good weekend.

 

Grapefruit sounds nice. Does it smell like grapefruit.
The aftershave sounds interesting but i have no idea what Basil and tiger grass smell like.

 

Splash, very nice and soothing.

 

Here's my menthol Sunday (I never get around to shaving Monday)

Prep: shower, Proraso green pre-shave soap, Cromwell and Cruthera oil
Brush: Omega 10066 boar
Blade: Dovo 5/8
Soap: TSD Iced subzero
Post: osage rub and some Vaseline.
Today was one of those days when everything comes together: no irritation and a BBS shave.

Holy yikes, showering then shaving, than showering again and shaving again! Your gonna be sore tomorrow!

• Prep: Hot shower; home made Cedar and Eucalyptus PSO - Neck only.
• Soap: TOBS Sandalwood - Made a few adjustments. A little more product and a bit less water. Nice lather this time but still got a little dry toward the end of passes.
• Brush: Plisson Synthetic
• Razor: 1954 SS - WTG, XTG
• Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3) - Still like new. I've been lightly rinsing the razor and blade in alcohol post shave.
• Post: Crystal alum; Dove Balm - Still waiting for the Thayer's WH to arrive.
• Cologne: D&G Light Blue

 

I've seen those lather bowls on Esty...how do you like it? It has like skulls or zombies..right?

SOTD - 14 December 2014 Sunday Mystery Soap Shave

I decided to revisit and finish off the Yuma Mystery Soap...it is slick, thick, and smells really nice. It's prodominant notes are vanilla and soft coconut...lather shot time!

Decided to take a day off from the menthol, keep it fresh and get ready for Menthol Monday...the Tech and Silver Blue delivered again. The soap has a great skin feel and is a solid performer. Topped it off with a splash of TSD AS for an old school finish with great skincare and feel.

I love Stirling's soaps..I really do...but I do believe his Sandalwood soap has forever turned me off Sandalwood.
Old, sweaty sneakers-smell.

The scent is very light with a hint of vintage Harlem Globetrotters Converse.

 

Should pair well with the Veg then?
