12/18/2014 Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO Razor: Gillette Aristocrat , Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (4) Brush: Turkish #6 Soap: HTGAM - Gondolier After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave Cologne: Guerlain - Songe D'un Bois D'ete A 2 pass Darn Fine Shave! No cuts, no nicks and no weepers. The Gondolier whipped up to kind of a soupy lather. It was slick and stable though. The Duck and the Crat worked well. The AV brought some soothing and the Guerlain will have me smelling great all day. Have a blessed day!

Thursday: Prep: Shower, Razor: 40s SS Blade: Treet Classic Brush: WD 24mm Black Badger Soap: Dr Harris Windsor AS: Dickersons WH, VIBR, Nieva Sensitive. This was a really good shave, I had one weeper but I think just because I was going to fast on a touch up. I really liked the Treet classic blade, this one may really be a winner for me. Thanks for the Carbon Steel suggestion @GDCarrington !

Thursday 18th December Warm shower Hot towel Stirling Sharp Dressed Man scuttle lathered Finest Badger brush made by myself Gillette Milord (1940) Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge (1) Cold rinse Thayers Lavender witch hazel Aqua Velva Musk aftershave The Milord came to me in a sorry state, no plating left on it and green with age. The original owner had decided to file down the 'wings' on the centre bar don't know why ? The blade loads fine and this alteration has no effect on the shave. I cleaned the razor and took it in for a replate in Gold. The case bottom I re lined with brown felt. I'm pleased with the results, bringing another razor back to life.

DFS one pass with clean up. No nicks, no cuts, no weepers. The iKon 102 is very smooth. What a fabulous day! Our second grandchild was born this morning (Colette Noelle).
