I found this review on Sharpologist. I found it nice that mantic mentions a TSD Shop soap =) http://sharpologist.com/2012/06/4-face-freezers.html
I have proraso green and a sample of stirling wintergreen glacial. The glacial on its own is way to cold for me but I love the scent! So I load up my brush with craftsman Unscented and then make a few swirles on the glacial soap. Mix it upp a bit on my hand and start facelathering, awesome lather!
The Glacial soaps from Stirling Soaps are the coldest to be found. The menthol power from them is insanely potent.
I have Proraso White, Green and RR Brain Freeze (listed from favourite to least). I like all 3. Brain freeze is a misnomer.... Disappointing on the menthol side.
I'm a big menthol fan, although my collection is still modest. Proraso Green TSD SubZero Stirling Wintergreen I find Subzero to be a good middle ground of menthol for me. I also have a small bottle of Peppermint and Rosemary essential oil that's great for adding a chill to any soap.
Currently Proraso Green is the only mentholated soap I have at the moment. I am sure I will add some more in the near future. I have added Stirling Glacial to my "to buy list"
TSD Iced Subzero lanolin Stick is in my Top 3! So cool TSD got some props...Joanna makes really nice stuff, I have liked everything I have tried to date.
The only mentholated soap I've used is Poraso green. Now I'm really looking forward to getting some subzero.
+1 TSD Lanolin Iced Subzero is the perfect menthol for my everyday type use. Glacial Odsidian and Yeti Snot are more MM for me. I like to experience the differences. Not knocking Proraso, I did a thirty day rule with it. That's why I am on this thread now.
TSD Lanolin ISZ and pretty much any of TSD soaps with double menthol are great. Stirling Glacial is the coldest soap I have ever tried. I loved the menthol blast, but something in that soap made my face greasy and acne prone whenever I used it. Proraso Green is a joke compared to those soaps.
