One of my nicest shaves in a while. Accidently dropped the brush in the sink. My lather was a little looser than normal and very slick.
  4. SATURDAY
    First shave since Wednesday evening
After a two-day hiatus, I got all lathered up in 'Pumpkin Spice' this morn & attacked the growth with the big Pipe razor.
'Noisy,' but in a good way, as the blade cleanly sliced through my greying stubble. Three-passes and nearly BBS. :happy088:
It is such a great razor I truly enjoy using!
    Have a great weekend, everyone!

Another fantastic blade. I'll admit it, I'm a nostalgia buff and I get more pleasure from using vintage items.

    Pinaud Draggon Noir ASL

Noticed all the beautiful "big name" straights being rocked this morning so, I was inspired to use one of my straights. This isn't a classic celebrity in the straight razor field, just an excellent shaver from my home town of St. Louis. This poor "blue collar" instrument does an outstanding job of the morning shave. Still lovin' in Draggon. :love055:

  19. 20 Dec 2014
    Pre - Corn Huskers
    Soap - Proraso Red Tub
    Brush - Turkish #6
Razor - Schick Krona "Eversharp" 1966
    Blade -Polsilver Super Iridium (4)
AS - Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

Overall a good shave. 4th razor and 4th shave with the Polsilver, still no tugging or irritation at all. Still not convinced the Schick is going to stay in my rotation, unless I find a blade combination for it that works great for me. The Turkish #6 certainly helped with the Proraso Red Tub croap I have been struggling with, much better lather but still requires a lot more work than other soaps, which i find odd for being so soft.

  20. Peer pressure is a powerful motivator! :D
Bruce, some of the BEST straight razor shaves I've received were often from the brands without renown. Now the 'classic' known brands are quite fine in their own right, but its alway a nice when a more humble razor 'surprises' me….:happy088: such as this inexpensive little Larkin:
