    Pre - Corn Huskers
    Soap - Li Occitane Cade
    Brush - WD Silvertip 24/50
    Razor - Merkur 34C
Blade - Polsilver Super Iridium (5)
    AS - The VEG

5th shave on the Polsilver, and still no tugging or irritation. Zero sting with Alum block. There maybe hope yet to get enough shaves out of it to justify the premium cost. Overall a DFS.

    Hi Friends,

today is the 4th Advent. I had a great shave today. Have a look:

    Preshave: Myrsol Emulsion
    Soap: Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica
Brush: Betlehem Olivewood Handle with 23mm Mühle Black Fibre Knot
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
    Blade: Croma Diamant
    Aftershave: Majestät

Truly a great shave. The soap stands for itself, the brush creates lather like crazy (and it releases the lather very good) and the Aftershave smells really "Majestic". All in all a great shave. Now i will see, what I will have for a drink...Bushmills 1608, Woodford Reserve or Dalwhinnie 15years old...;)

May all of you have a happy Christmas time, a pleasent 4th Advent. Stay healthy and have a great shave.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Prep: wash with glycerin soap
    Soap: Mike's Natural, unscented
Brush: Oscar11 with HIS synthetic knot
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Super Iridium
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

In the past, I never noticed a significant difference between the two sides of the ShaveCraft razor. Yesterday, I used the exactdid my complete shave with the open comb side and today I used only the safety bar side. Today I had some irritation on my chin; yesterday's shave was flawless and perfectly comfortable. I will used the open comb again tomorrow to see if I noticed the same thing.

Anyone else have a preference on the sides of the ShaveCraft?

JR Reyes I scream for....chicken wings??

When I had that head I only used the safety bar side. The OC side was more mild for some reason.

    Sunday:
hot shower w/Murray & Lanman Florida Water bar soap
    H Boker straight 2 passes
    Schick Hydro Magic 2 passes
    Schick (4)
    Donut boar
Proraso Blue cream with a squirt of Cremo in a warm mug
    Thayers unscented w/aloe
Wm Neumann & Co Absolute Zero AS balm

It's been a Secret Santa weekend. Yesterday I showered with the Peppermint bar soap I received and today I used the Absolute Zero aftershave balm.
Hadn't used a straight in several weeks so I'm a bit out of practice but I ended up with a very fine shave.

Yes! I tend to favor the safety bar side, I'll use the open comb if I go across the grain.

    SOTD - NFL Sunday!!!

    Pre - CWS

    Razor - ATT Kronos R1

    Blade - Rapira PL

    Soap - The Freedberg

    Brush - Plisson

I decided to try the R1 plate for the first time today. I paired it with the Kronos Handle and brought out The Freedberg. The Freedberg and the Plisson seem to love each other. This is the best lather I have ever made . The R1 appears to be more efficient than the S1. Definitely more stubble removed on the first pass. However, it is also more aggressive. Got a few weepers today, which I usually would not get. The S1 is definitely more smooth. Not sure if twisting the blade causes less of blade gap? The S1 plate is based on the R1 plate. Got a 3 pass DFS. No touch ups. No irritation other than the weepers. This is my first time with the R1. I will definitely be working it into the rotation. I never thought I'd do this, but I am considering using the Kronos R1 for my first pass with the Atlas S1 for subsequent passes.

Thank you! A little patience on the bay for a great price even more patience checking every consignment and antique store for a several weeks to find a glass stopper to fit. Extremely small opening that pours out perfect for AS.
