Last night I had a scare. I shot off an arrow & just after after it released, my bowstring snapped. Thankfully, I wasn't badly hurt; just a couple of small bruises on my arm & hand. Time to get that bow restrung!
Im glad you didn't get hurt badly... You must have been busy shooting in the ranch =) I wanna take up archery after watching The walking dead haha it would be a good weapon, doesn't attract attention =P all kidding aside, I have wanted to pick up archery, but I don't really have time at the moment. Plus a bow a EXPENSIVE hahaha Look at this beauty here 350 $
That's similar in price here. Plus you need gear to go with it, like quiver, carry bag, extra arrows, etc. So yes, a starter set up is pricey and that is the down side of it. Update- I just called the pro shop to order new strings. Hopefully, I can get the put on the bow, by Saturday.
Since we are ordering custom strings, we can get them in the colors we want. Mine will be pink & black. My husband's will be black & pink.
I enjoy archery, I have a compound bow and an Osage self bow (not made by me). I have been into archery on and off for almost 30 years.
I used to shoot when I was a kid. Then when I was thinking about getting back into it I asked my dad where my compound bow and two recurves were. And he said what are you talking about? I don't know what you are talking about. I think this was code for you didn't use them so I sold them.
