A GrabBox 4 the ChatterBox (GB4CB)

This just made my day! How awesome! I can't wait. I have no idea what to choose. I know for sure the straight will stay, and I'm not much of a SE fan....sooo who knows. I already have some ideas of items that I'm going to add into the box.

Question?? If I add a razor...does it become a category A item or still considered a category B?

Anything added to the box will automatically go to category B - up for grabs by anyone.

If you don't want the straight and you're not a big fan of SEs...your grab from Category A is pretty much limited to the black bakelite Neillite DE razor from the 40's.
Maybe try one of the SEs and see how you like it?

 

Does the box have any SE blades? I will have to dig around to see if I still have one to test the SE's. I will give them a shot. Thanks.

Update on shipping.

Everything is boxed up by 'Category' and it all fit nicely into the USPS medium sized flat box.


I included a plastic box (ontop in pic) with 5-6 GEM, SS, coated SE blades in case anyone needs some/want to use them to try out a razor before deciding


Also included, as mentioned earlier, is a Small USPS flat box that the items can be transferred to once/if the content has shrunk down to fit into it - as it is now it all just barely fit into a Medium sized box


It'll be sent out tomorrow to @JR Reyes

Yes the box has arrived. I am grabbing all of the heavy items to save space...lol.

To be honest, I'm grabbing...but also giving.

My goal is to add something for each member on the list.

So far I have something for youngunn and Mr. shaverman.

Any requests from those next on the list...?

If I have it, I will do my best to hook you up for the holidays.

Yes ... I totally understand. I had some stuff already set aside for the tour box, but that seemed to go missing in action. Therefore, I can spread the wealth with this grab box.

I found a spare aggressive DE razor head for gwsmallwood.

So that leaves Jim. What do you have on your wish list? Any soaps you still need to try?

I've been paying attention to your journey and remeber you are a fan of aggressive heads. This one gives amazing audio feedback. It sounds like I'm scraping toast with each pass.

I just don't have a spare handle but it fits standard size handles.

Okay, this has been a fun experience as well as a really tough decision. I did a test shave with the 1912 SE, as well as the MMOC. They inspired me to really learn more about SE shaving and mastering that technique. I thought I had my mind made up until I realized that the art deco handles fit on the shovel head razor. That just sealed the deal for me. I really like the look and feel of those razor/handle combinations.

I also grabbed the brush and tube of supermax cream from category C. I got a little something to add for each of the remaining winners. This was a great experience and I applaud darkbulb for getting this thing started. Hopefully this won't be the last. I will try and make it to the post office tomorrow.

Cat A:
Small handled shovel head razor (great grab!)

Cat B:
Two of the Art Deco handles and the other SE handle (Nice! We'll make a SE-shaver out of you yet!)...I'm pretty sure those ugly, remaining heads may ride all the way to the end

Cat C:
Brush and SuperMax cream
(Btw, that SuperMax tube might surprise you. I initially got two from Connaught in the UK when they were on sale - kept one for myself - and it lather really well! - See my mini-review here)

Oh, and in case it wasn't obvious - the smaller boxes I had used to divide up the items by group is something you can keep using or discarding in order to make the package a bit smaller. I'm pretty sure our remaining participants can identify what item belongs to what group by the photos posted here.
