Thank you Guy. I love the knot. It´s a 26mm Viginia Sheng Silvertip. Gel-like tips and the knot holds tons of water. The lather you see in the brush, is from about 20seconds swirling on the soap. The knot was almost dry, but as i said, the knot (and the tips in special) hold water very well.

That was lathery goodness...man i can tell you...:love055:

    Semogue 1305 Boar Brush
    Gillette NEW
    Feather Hi-Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Gillette NEW and Feather Hi-Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog original face wash

Soap/cream- The body shop maca root shaving cream

    Brush- Plisson synthetic

    Razor- Gillette Slim adjustable(5)

    Blade- Astra superior platinum

Post- Cold water rinse, alum block, Aftershave tonic Sweden eco(new to me) and Nivea sensitive aftershave balm

I just remembered I forgot to post my SOTD today. I got a Nice shave today. 2 passes and some touch up. The maca root was really good to my skin, protective and slick. I might have used juuuuuust a touch more water than necessary, but it still provided a nice shave.

Finished of with an aftershave that I got from my ManBox subscription. I get a box every 3 months. I really liked the aftershave, the scent and the healing properties. But I still wanted to use my Nivea. I have gotten some really nice results with it.

    • Prep: Shower; Nivea Face Wash; Corn Huskers Lotion
    • Lather: Colonel Conk Bay Rum
    • Brush: El Cheapo Badger
    • Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89LBL WTG, XTG, ATG in spots
    • Blade: PolSilver (2)
    • Post: Alum; Clubman Penaud
    Cons:
    • Tried Col. Conk for the first time. It made a pretty good lather, not the best. I don't have a lot of experience with bowl lathering soaps so it's probably more on me than the product.
    • The bay rum scent was nice in the bowl but was not as noticeable during the shaving.
    • Picked up a bleeder on my jaw line. I had a bump or zit or something there and it probably couldn't have been avoided. Took quite a lot of styptic to get controlled.
    • I had to de-Penaud myself a bit because three shakes was too too too much!
    Pros:
    • The DE89 paired with PolSilver is really working. I am not getting any irritation from this pair. It's making my choices for the January 30 Day Event a bit tougher. Is this a case of a mild razor and an aggressive blade balancing out?
    • After removing some of the Penaud I am very happy with it.

Planned shave for Wednesday - last one for 2014!

    Nivea Facial Wash
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Shark day 2
    Vintage Hega Shaving Stick :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer
    Booster Mosswood AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:

I haven't used this Hega stick for over a year and a half, so I think it's time to bring it out. It's an OLD, OLD Swedish-made stick which was discontinued a long time ago, and it smells so nice, gives great lather, and has really good post-shave care. The Booster Mosswood aftershave is a Canadian delight. This'll be a most wonderful "antique" shave! ;) :D

Nice video. My neck would not react well to that technique. You're lucky you can do that.
