Pulled out the Kent BK8 this morning and 2nd to the last Christmas gift that I haven't used yet and this 3 band has butter soft tips. I was expecting this brush to be really floppy but proved me wrong and was like a pillow rubbing against my face. Excellent shave this morning and now time to plant myself in front of the TV as the games are about to begin.

This shave honors my alma matter, the Spartans of MSU in the Cotton Bowl today. My New LC is mostly brass now, and the closest I have to a bronze sword with which to slay the Baylor Bears. The CRSW worked great again in this last shave with my Plisson in its original handle. After the game I'll be transplanting the knot to a better handle made by my brother.

3 pass shave with great results. Could have stopped after 2 passes but everything felt just too good until...an hour after the shave and I realized 2 things - 1)my skin and sandlewood don't agree; 2)my wife and sandlewood don't agree, so this is the first product I'm rejecting, except for modern Williams, of course.

*New year, new blade. This was my first shave with a Treet. Still wondering how much I actually liked it. It was a bit tuggy, but gave a solid DFS. I'll keep using this and see how it pans out. So far it could rank fairly average for me, which actually is rare for me.

I've been on the waiting list for this razor since the 1st of October. It arrived in the final mail call of 2014. Just had to use it today. It was a great start to the new year.

In anticipation of a new razor (Rockwell 6S) being delivered tomorrow, I decided on a late shave so i can use the new razor if it delivers as noted by USPS. Overall very good, no issues and finishing with the VEG is a good way to start the new year.

First shave of the year was - a fantastic shave.

Razor: Gillette Tech Ranger '41 (this razor keeps amazing me...it is that good).
Blade: GSB (about 3-4 uses now)
Soap: Nancy Boy shaving cream. (This is my new favorite cream. Amazing lather and scent).
A/S: Myrsol Blue. Fantastic.

(I didn't even end up using the Stirling ASB in the photo due to how great the Myrsol felt).

Blenheim Bouquet also a big disappointment to me. Your description of the lather doing "a disappearing act" was spot on.

Great start to the 30 day trial. 3 pass BBS with minor touch ups. 1 weeper. My lather could have been a little slicker, but I was able to salvage it mid-shave.

A great New Years day shave. There is no other more relaxing way to start your day. Sir Jasper has the day off, His overindulgence's from last night have left him a little under the weather today.

Now that I've got two of the new Glacial Lavender soaps on the way I'm really, really pumped so I decided to take another mega-frigid shave with my Glacial Lemon Chill which I absolutely love. The scent drives me crazy because it's so nice and invigorating - it's a perfect combination of menthol and lemon. The lather works up easily and fast if you soak the puck in hot water for a couple of minutes and then start loading it on a fairly wet brush. The menthol effect starts pummelling your face right away, and it gets stronger and stronger. The skincare from this soap is exactly like all of Rod's other creations - it cannot be beaten. Being that I have rather sensitive skin, I find the Gold Bond to be so cooling and soothing in addition to moisturizing. The Rubby Dubby Doo'll freeze me even more when I'm finished. Oh, this will be a shave from Paradise!
