The Col. Conk Lime Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Wild Cherry Silver Tip Badger Brush. Two passes with my Schick I2 and Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I was initially planning on using my gold Fatip razor head on this beautiful monster size Triad Brass handle (95mm x 132 grams) that I received from my granddaughter for Christmas but while trying to place the Bolzono blade in the top cap, I dropped the top cap on my granite countertop and both pins broke off. I really liked the Fatip in gold but I do have it in Anthracite but I'm so bummed out I decided to use the DLC iKon Slant head instead for tomorrow's shave.

First shave using a shovelhead razor. I quickly discovered that I will need a slightly different angle for each pass.
Not a problem, just need to spend some time with this razor to figure out how best to use it. That being said I still got a close irritation free shave.

Mission accomplished with little effort - another awesome shave. The Lea Menthol is a lovely cream - it smells great, lathers so easily, and it feels icy and refreshing especially during the second pass. Its post-shave care is pretty good as well, so my face feels well-moisturized and comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer feels so cool and soothing which is so important after a shave, and the Proraso Green aftershave put a final coating of ice in my face!

 

today was the first day in a long time when I haven't used a french soap. Instead, I grabbed my TOBS Lavender. While this wasn't exactly a mistake, the lather was a bit drying to my face and lacked both the creaminess and slickness to which I am accustomed from my favorite soaps. All in all, it was a pleasant shave with good smoothness and little irritation.

LASS Woody Lavender today (time to order a new jar of this too). 20 seconds: load & go with the Plisson brush. Great lather and scent. I loaded a new Rapira Swedish SS in the Slim. Excellent, smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Pino Silvestre.

Tabacstag!
A very smooth and easy shave today. I only did two passes because we are not going anywhere today just a rest day as we are pelted with freezing rain. Tabac never fails to perform, and I love the classic scent. I think this Personna blade is done after two shaves, though. I'm going back to Astra SP tomorrow. I think I've been spoiled by the Voskhod... Personna used to be my favorite, now it doesn't seem the same. I'll have to get more Voskhods soon. Krampert's also never fails me - I really like the scent and the skincare is as good as well.
