Will do on Barbasol. The only AS veto from Mrs Samurai is any OS products. But...she likes NBA, college football and rare steaks...she even tolerates UFC...and I love her very much...so she's a keeper.

Sounds like a keeper! My wife is like made for me by god... We sit here on a Saturday night with our crafts, she knits and crochets stuff, and I work on messenger bag/sewing projects. We watch the BBC and sherlock and doctor who. Also some PBS Masterpiece Theater. I collect vintage safety razors. I do my hair in a 50s side part pomp. She dresses like 60s fashions. Yep. That's how old we are. Thirty on the outside, 65 on the inside. Our friends make fun of us. Lol

One of the fascinating things about the things on that page is that they are techniques that can be applied with graduated force. This allows a person to gain ultimate control of a situation when needed, yet avoid doing permanent and unnecessary damage. I love studying all types of technique.

I need to study some of that non violent self defense. Just holds and balance and stuff.

Great setup! I'm curious as to what your experiences with the Slim will be. Have fun!

Direct chatter encouraged in original post. These are our experiences in January while studying 30 day rule. The martial arts at their core are not about fighting. They are about strength and wisdom itself. There is no distinction between violent and non violent. At one force level a choke just gets someone's attention and makes them behave...held longer and with more force, it is most certainly lethal. The "art" in martial arts is gaining the wisdom to apply the correct technique at the appropriate time and with the right force level. I would encourage any form of study involving the art.

Thanks! People call us hipster but we've been like this for a while, not just doing it to be "cool". Were just that way. Hehe

Or you simply pull a gun and "Indiana Jones" them. :bang:One of my ex's was a brown belt in Ru Ku Kempo and I learned a lot from her about martial arts and their purpose. I also learned to curl up in a ball and whimper when we sparred. Her favorite target was not in a good place. Made me wonder a few times if she really loved me. Maybe the fact she's an "ex" answered that. LOL

    01/03 – Day 2 with the Weishi

Objective: Survive a month using low end entry level products.

    DSC_0598.jpg
    • Growth: 2 days
    • Prep: Hot shower; Corn Huskers Lotion
    • Lather: Arko – Face lathered
    • Brush: Escali Badger
    • Razor: Weishi 9306/Microtouch One
    • Blade: Derby Extra (2)
    • Post: Alum; Aqua Velva Ice Blue
Today’s Results: This shave went about the same as day one. Which means it was a DFS. The badger didn't shed quite as bad this time. Only about 3 hairs that I noticed. Two shaves of two day growth tapped out the Derby. A little irritation on the chin from needing to do more passes due to dull blade. No worries, put a little hot sauce on it and we're good to go. Olé! Have a great one!

I think there are three of us using a Slim for this. Are you talking about what setting you are using in your shaves?

I had an issue like this that I figured out was due to not rinsing the soap off well enough. I will sometimes take a very wet brush and go over my neck to rinse the soap off.

Surely, your wife was made for you by the Supreme Spirit.

Mine was also made for me by a Spirit.

    But not the Supreme one...........:(

I like this also. It seems counter-intuitive but it really delivers a great shave.
