A day late, but my Monday Shave of The Day. Unfortunately it was a rush job for my first shave after a couple of weeks of paternity leave. The Duke 3 performed incredibly, a very nice Christmas gift. Overall a great shave, the rushed nature notwithstanding.

After yesterday's shave I have decided to go ahead and make this a Lavender shave soap week. TSD Lavender Mint is one of the best Lavender's I have used to date.

Razor: Gillette Slim H3 (3), Ace straight razor
Blade: Astra SP (5)
Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
Soap: Love Your Skin Soaps - Awapuhi
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
Cologne: MFK - Oud

A Darn Fine Shave. I tried a new scent from a local soap artisan. The Awapuhi has a nice floral with a clean soap scent. I used the Vie Long to whip up the Awapuhi. I worked the lather for close to 5 minutes. The soap was pretty thirsty. The lather ended up being a little airy, but it did not disappear and it was pretty slick. The Slim and the Ace did their jobs with ease. I finished up with the Oud that will keep me smelling great all day.
