So, superdumb question: when you shave I assume the soap stick is completely exposed and just attached to the cap that you hold on to?
Right - just screw the stick into the cap and you hold it kinda like this fella is doing. You can keep the foil on the refill and just tear it down as you need too. The 1924 patent screws back into the tube for a longer handle like this...
Went for this single ring for my collection on the bay. Looks like he is a pretty old man. I can't see any signs of a letter in the serial code. 707530 would put it at 1906. Teeth are in solid condition. Could not see any cracks in the handle. I am at work now and will get the macro lens out later tonight to check it out better. If it all checks out I am in RAD heaven!
I finally found a red tip gillette razor in the wild. It's really hard to find one in Turkey. I also found a pack of Topaz DE blade in the wild, too. Everywhere was full of Derby blades and various Derby,Arko,Treet shaving soaps/creams. Paid $14 for the items in the photo. The seller also gave me a gillette box said it's its but I guess it's a fat boy case, I need it for my fb anyway I'll do a deep cleaning process to get rid of the scum and greenish stains.
Two new soaps that I picked up in a trade... Holy cow the soap commander container is HUGE. My inital scent impressions are pretty good. I pick up some pepermint and the aqua element. It smells fresh and minty. I'm going to use it later today for my single edge sunday shave. The WSP Tobacco is better than I expected. I was thinking of a pipe tobacco scent similar to Cavendish, but this one actually smells like CRSW bergamot & bay and BSBC bearded lady. I really like this scent, and combined with the rustic shave soap performance, I know its a keeper. 2015 is my year of SAD...

My order from iHerb has arrived: The scent of the shea butter is really nice. I think this will be a great product. The Dickinson don´t smell about anything,but it will work well i hope and the scent of the Shea Moisture Shave Aftershave smells great too. Very pleasent scent. Not too overpowering, but what i smelled at the first whiff, was great. Let´s see and hope the best. Greetings Thorsten
I just picked this shiny, pretty EverReady 1914 from the post office today. It cleaned up well, and other than some very minor wear areas, it seems almost unused. I can hardly wait to use this once the January 30 day exercise is completed. Other than my new razor, it is the least worn razor I own!
Just back from the Post Office. This will be my first Catie's Bubbles soap. The LASS and Maggard soaps are reorders. I just finished both jars.

Custom crafted messenger bag haul. @youngunn was commissioned to craft this for me...he really delivered. The bag is fully backed and lined, sturdy construction and blends with my sense of style. Bag opens to reveal to cargo pouches, a lined interior with concealed zip, 6 total compartments. Front buckle and strap are a repurposed belt. I am super impressed by the attention to detail. Tim's mark is tastefully applied to the back of the bags shell. And at my request...the kanji for Samurai embroidered on the flap...I love it. Tim (@youngunn) really hit this one out of the park. He may have given me a new affliction...MBAD or Man Bag Acquisition Disorder. Thanks to Tim for all the creativity and work that went into this...it looks great and will be worn with pride.
