I'd be the wrong person to ask as I have two but have yet to use either of them :)

Is there a full list/post somewhere for all your 'reveal razors'? I think I've missed a couple...
That gold feather weight looks amazing btw.

Those look good, thank you for the link. But living in Sweden, I don't think they would make it here in one piece even if the seller offers international shipping.

The ones I have is plastic, but I also have metallic tins.

I would rather have plastic because I wouldn't be worried IF I dropped it on the floor haha.

[IMG] the metall tin with plastic see through overtop.

I don't have a picture of the plastic container

    Nostalgia Times and Shaving

It seems the memories of old times are coming back to my mind - so far away now - when I was just a boy trying to become a man through the adult rite of shaving. At those times I was using what I had available at home, and this means my father's shaving products, including his razor - a Gillette Flare Tip Rocket II, which is now one of the very few DE razors in my collection - as well as his soap and after shave. I guess his favorite soap is no longer in production and I cannot exactly remember its name - it certainly was Italian and had a lovely strong almond fragrance - however I still keep his brushes, including a gorgeous Omega 47 and the memory of his favorite aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue. It took me sometimes to discover Floid - it was once the dominant fragrance you could smell when you entered any Italian barber shop about 40 years ago - which then became my favorite aftershave. Yesterday, while I was shopping in a mall, I noticed Aqua Velva and I was surprised to see nothing of the bottle of those times survived today: different shape, different closure and logo. I could not however help buying a bottle and this is the aftershave I used today. It was not so bad, the fragrance seems to be quite the same as well as the performance, bringing back the memory of those old times.

    1914 EverReady/GEM Stainless d?...it's been close to a month...unbelievable!
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal/Aqua Velva Musk

Wonderful Wonderful Shave...I've been using this combo everyday...I've gotten my technique down to a one pass 5 Star DFS...boarder-line BBS...This blade is one for my record books. I guess a month now, but I didn't mark down when I put it in....I just said, this time I'll use it til it needs to be changed. I always change them out after a week whether they need it or not. This time I wanted to see if it really needed it or not.....Guess not...LOL!

Long Live 'The VEG'...The Veg/Aqua Velva Musk cocktail is one of my favs...also Clubman Vanilla/Aqua Velva Musk... The AV Musk is getting alot of 'play' in my 'Shave Cave' these days...ha,ha

BTW...this 1914 is just such an incredible charmer...Shaves like a str8 without the maintenance....correction, for me it shaves closer than a str8...I can get as close in one pass as 3 with my shavette...Believe it or Not...On March 24th this lovely razor will have it's 101st birthday....We need to set up a big something special for the Ever Ready 1914....Lets toss around some ideas....

    Hey Buddys,

I had a stellar shave moments ago:

    Soap: Jabonman Brisa de
    Brush: Semogue 620 boar
    Razor: Rotbart Mond Extra No.15
    Blade: Personna Med Prep
    Aftershave: CH Pitralon
Post: Out of Africa 100% unrefined Shea Butter Vanilla

Wonderful!!! The Razor is one of the best razors out there. With, across and against the grain as easy as it can be. Without nicks, cuts or irritations. Toroughly and very very smooth.

I used a boar after a long long time. Didn't regret anything. The lather was thick and creamy with a heavenly scent. It pairs very nice with the CH Pitralon.
    A picture will follow later.

Take care and have a great time Friends.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

This is the tenth day of my 30-day adventure to improve my shaving skills using the Mongoose. Preshave consisted of a face wash using Stirling Sheep soap. I used my Kent BK4 brush and face lathered using Mike's Natural Soap and a few drops of glycerin.

After one week, the Feather Pro blade continues to perform well on my two-pass plus touch-up shave - no nicks or irritation! Even so, I'm replacing the blade to start the week. I finished with Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel and unrefined shea butter.

    Have a blessed day, everyone!

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
Soap: Speick Cream/Stirling Lime Coconut uberlather
    Brush: Beeline Boar
Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Nickel
    Blade: Big Ben SS (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (6, 7, 8)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Speick AS splash
Cologne: Shagya, by Parfums de Marley (sample generously provided by Seattle's Parfumerie Nasreen)

I didn't set out to do an uberlather - the first I can recall making - this AM, but the Stirling Lime Coconut sample had degraded in its container enough that it looked like it would need a boost to lather up. The combination with the Speick was extremely thick and yogurt-like, with very minimal effort, which was a contributing factor to going for 3 passes rather than merely 2. The Big Ben didn't make my neck and under-chin area particularly happy about this choice, though, as there was some significant irritation - without any bloodshed - by the end of my BBS shave. The Shagya cologne is an oud-based scent with some lime, so it works well with the lingering citrus of the Stirling and the 'green' notes of the Speick.

Again I wanted to use a cream which hasn't been in my rotation for a long time - the Vostok from Queen Charlotte Soaps is very, very nice. Its scent is pretty well pure menthol - in fact I really can't detect any other notes from it. The lather goes on easily and gives a powerful menthol sensation which is even somewhat stronger than ISZ soap or cream, and the skincare is pretty good as well. The Gold Bond/Skin Bracer combination was a terrific finale to most pleasurable and smooth shave. ;) :D

Yet another good shave with the straight. Technique is coming along nicely. Scottish Fine, the larger tends to disappear if water ratio isn't near perfect but the skincare was great. No drying out of the skin.
