Gary, I have two of those exact same containers which I put a couple of my Stirling Glacial soaps in and I paid a buck each for them at a dollar store. :)

Yes. I pay about $1.50 for each locally. They are great containers.

SoTD for Sat, Jan 10 or better late than never.

    Pre- Clove Balsam PSO
    Soap- Badger
    Brush- restored ever ready
    Razor- Star DE
    Blade- Personna super
    Rinse- Osage
    Aftershave- Brut
    Lotion- Kiehl's

I didn't have a chance to get this up yesterday, but since a picture was taken, I decided to get it done late rather than never. That days details are as follows: I continue to dislike the Badger soap. $12 worth of mediocrity in a cutesy box. My girlfriend bought this for me at a Whole Foods store. Is this where mainstream wet shaving is headed? This was the best lather I have yet gotten from it. And it still sucked. I even softened the puck with hot water before use. This remains one of two soaps that I cannot get good results from.
I used the blue Personna super for the second time. I do indeed like them. And finally, Brut is awesome.

Thorsten, great to hear, my friend! However, you don't have to try to convince me as I believe I am the culprit to getting the majority of folks on the forums using it. I posted a good review of it quite a few years ago on two other forums and it seems many folks have really been enjoying it which I am glad about.
Just check my SOTD pics and you'll see it, ALWAYS, listed as the last item used. Also, I have been using it for the past 15 years or so on my hands, face, legs, etcetera even before I started wet-shaving. :lyrtuy5:

    Razor Reveal Week: DAY 5

This was actually the razor that I "almost" pulled from the grab box, but thankfully didn't. I believe it's the GEM 1912 with a striped handle. A very efficient razor, nice and smooth, but the handle is a little short. It's a welcome addition to my new SE razor lot, and I really enjoyed how well it performed.

The brush full of lather was brought to you by Barrister and Mann Black Label in the Orange and Cedarwood scent. I received this sample from a very generous member (Thanks again Chuck), and initially thought the scent was going to be mild or mellow. As soon as I started to whip up the lather in my makeshift lather bowl, the scent really opened up and started to bloom. A very nice citrus scent with that woody background. I have been impressed with the black label performance, but have been hard pressed to find significant differences compared to their other formulas. Tomorrow's soap choice will feature Beaudelaire, and I think I saved the best for last. Man that stuff smells great.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend gents. Have a good one.

SoTD for Sunday January 11, or catchin' lather

    Pre- Clove Balsam PSO
    Soap- vintage Colgate
Brush- Ever Ready w synthetic knot
    Razor- Star lather catcher
Blade- 1) flying eagle no notch 2)CVS
    Rinse- Osage
    Aftershave- vintage English Leather
    Lotion-Kiehl's
    Cologne- vintage English Leather

Unlike most Sundays, today I had rather a lot of time. So I decided to get crazy and use something I have not tried... a lather catcher. I went with the Star, which is one of three lather catchers I own. I picked it mostly because I like it's heavy handle. First I tried out a no notch blade. I discarded after a minute or two because it didn't seem to be working. I have no idea how good the Flying Eagle blades are, but from my limited usage, they don't seem that good. I switched to a carbon ASR via CVS blade and got down to business.
Lather catchers are a little tricky to use. It can be tough to find the angle due to the large lightweight head. It is not a razor that I would consider intuitive. The head is also tough to see past. It is around the size of a c battery, so not the most sleek of devices. But once it came together, it was glorious. It was a bit more work than usual, but I got great BBS results. It took a full four passes plus cleanup, but I really wanted to go into my days off with an excellent shave. That way I can let it go until Wednesday morning. So with the geometry of the issue locked in, I can't wait to try this, or another, lather catcher again. Maybe I will get my Wilkinson seven day set ready for next week!

Tomorrow will be my first menthol Monday, so in preparation I tried a menthol Sunday.
59' Fatboy on 7 for the entire shave
    Personna Super blade
    Stirling Glacial Spearmint soap
Gillette Fusion Intense Cooling Lotion AS balm
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS

The menthol was insane. I couldn't get the Stirling soap to lather at all but the shave was incredibly smooth. I didn't even feel the balm or AS as my face was still menthol froze. My face feels as good as it's ever felt with zero irritation. I think I'll change it up and use QCS Vostok in place of the Glacial Spearmint tomorrow to see if it was the soap or the combothat provided the incredible shave.

SOTN: Red-eye flight tonight, so I am going to shave tonight right before I go. Ocean Grove isn't a duplicate of T&H 1805 but they play nicely together.

    Catie’s Bubbles Ocean Grove soap
    Plisson synthetic brush
    Mongoose with Dr Bomber handle
    Feather Artist Club Professional blade
Truefitt & Hill 1805 AS balm

All great products that are highly recommended.

My friend, I have the QCS Vostok which I used this morning and let me say this - it's as cold as hell. However: If you want to compare it to the Glacial Spearmint or any other of the Glacial soaps, it feels almost warm. Those Glacials are definitely the most strongly-mentholated soaps known to mankind. :)
