These two small things arrived in the past week or so. The Pinaud bottle is already cleaned up and is now filled with some Veg. The Ricksecker tin I'm still trying to figure out how/if I can use it for a modern stick.
I received this box back in December from my ManBox subscription but forgot to post it. In the box, shampoo, face wash, another face wash/shave gel, a really nice aftershave and a BIG styptic pencil. I was really happy with the box and had a coupon for approximately 40% off for 2 boxes, so I made a duplicate purchase. Great value boxes I might add. The only thing that changed was the styptic pencil, I got an liquid hair wax from American crew. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it's gonna be really good!
I bought these 2 spray bottles from China to use with Aftershaves in big bottles. First impressions is that they were smaller than I thought 25 ml would be, but they felt like really good quality. I tried them with water and the bottle sprays a really nice cloud of water, I think they will work the same with the aftershave? I haven't received the aftershave yet but I'll try them for real on the 14th =D
1941 Ranger Tech I got from a BIN. The case is a bit worn but it has done it's job at protecting the razor. Hard to believe that it's about 74 years old. It shows very minor signs of use and no plate loss that I could find.
A bunch of stuff, some for shaving, some otherwise, that I've hauled in recently: Simpsons Duke 2 in Best 220 Rapira Swedish Supersteel blades L'Occitane Cade balm Opinel No. 6 folding knife Thermoworks Thermapen (won in a giveaway on a cooking blog!) Unicorn Magnum Plus pepper grinder
The gillette brush is a mini brush and has less hair than I expected. It also stinks like a watercolor set. Anyway it was cheap and I'm not unhappy with the purchase. At least I have a brand new gillette brush
Hi Friends, yesterday i received another Rotbart Razor. I changed some soaps and received the Razor for it. It´s an very old Rotbart Mond Extra with Open Comb. BEAUTIFUL!!! It´s a shame, that Rotbart hasn´t made it till now. The razors are better than a few modern razors which can be bought nowadays. But i let the pictures stand for itself: Please apologize my dirty blade...it´s just in it for the pic here. I love this razoir. It´s very very smooth (you almost don´t feel a blade in it) and very toroughly. Absolutely a great razor. Greetings Thorsten
I bought this a few days ago. I've used it a couple times with good results. I guess you can say I'm a Dapper Dan Man.
It really is nice. I had been using a $20 Thermoworks thermometer, and I can't really say the Themapen is 5X better but it's definitely a nice upgrade and hey, I got it for free!
Nice opinel! I have an older French No. 7 and it is one of my favorite possessions. I use it for nearly everything. Once they start to patina and the handle gets wear, they look even cooler.
I really like those Milady razors. I swear, everyone but me has great luck at antique stores. A couple weeks ago I went to 5(!) antique stores, and only saw a couple beat up injectors. And two of the stores were big antique malls. What I am trying to gracefully say, is that I am jealous.
