Hey Charlie I assume that is one of Stirling's bar soaps. How do you like it? Have you used any of their other bar soaps?

Hey Jon. I hope you are having a great week. Yes, the sheep soap is one of Stirling's bar soaps. I really like it as a face soap, as it is very moisturizing. I would highly recommend it. It is the only Stirling bar soap that I have used. They gave me a full-size bar as a free sample (very generous of them) when I ordered their Naked and Smooth shave soap. I like their shave soap too!

    SOTD: 1/15/15

    Razor: 1958 Fat Boy "Custom" (8 / 5)
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: WD Silvertip
    Soap: Proraso Green
    AS: Barbasol

After using a SuperMax blade, which was nice, but I couldn't decide if it was better than my usual Astra SP's, I switched to an Astra. Well, two shaves in with the Astra and I've experienced a couple of nicks and some minor weepers. I'm confused, maybe the Astra's aren't all I thought they were. This is going to require further research...

That rhodium really shines doesn't it!?

    Meanwhile...my SOTD for......someday :happy036:

Looks like a cross between a shave and an exorcism. :signs136:

    Enjoy!

(I apologize if this isn't the proper place for this. So, if anyone doesn't like it, I'll move it elsewhere. I really like SOTD and don't want to mess up the thread.)

    Wild Cherry PTS
    My Dad's Schick E3
    Schick Platinum Plus

The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Wild Cherry Pur Tech Synthetic Brush. Two passes with my Schick E3 and Schick Platinum Plus Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Barbasol after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It is Amanda's version of Green Irish Tweed. I spotted the tin within a photo I saw on her Facebook page or a blog and I inquired to what it was and she said her take on GIT and she sent it to me as an exchange on a mix up on an order I had made back in May. Needless to say pretty good stuff but aroma wise I still like Malaspina version of GIT the best that I have tried. She may have made it for others but I haven't seen anyone else post SOTD on any of the 3 forums with Amanda's take with GIT so maybe I lucked out, I really don't know.

One of the best Shaves I've ever had.
Simple as that. B&M Lavanille is the best scent in shaving soap that I've ever experienced. The near optimal lather performance just adds to the experience. I hardly noticed Der Vorschlaghammer removing my stubble, and Gondolier lotion helped make my face feel even smoother.

    Prep: Proraso White
    Soap: B&M Lavanille
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Astra SP
    AS: PAA Gondolier lotion
    EdC: Tabac!

    Schick G8 razor
    Personna blade
    WD/FS boar brush
    BathHouse Soapery Mint/Aloe SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel/Sage mix
    English Leather Balm
    English Leather cologne

Not a very nice shave, the BathHouse Soapery SS caused a lot of discomfort i.e. burning/tingling of my face. Guess I won't use that one anymore.
